LANDSAILING HITS
THE MIDWEST
For a very long time I have wanted to get a landyacht, landsailor, or dirtboat.  The boat arrived in three packages, a three foot square box, a rather long triangular box and a tube that contained the mid mast.  All of the hard work is done, all that is left is bolt together work that went rather quickly, with the help of my little friends.
Notice son's excitement and daughter's aparent bordem.
Since we have very few dry lake beds in St. Louis Missouri, the first day's sailing was done on a large parking lot at a local concert venue.
You can't see it but there is a large smile on my face under that helmet.  The winds were 15 to 25mph with a temp in the high 30's.  Note the dark areas on my overalls and jacket.  There were some large puddles on the parking lot, it's amazing how much water that front wheel kicked up.
Of course new toys aren't fun without inviting all the  guys so we all can share in the fun and possibly entice someone else into getting a new toy.
More pictures to be added soon and possibly a few more landyachts for the Midwestern fleet.
