Valaskjalf- Home of the gods, one of the mansions of Odin in Asgard. Here he survays the world.
Valhalla- Home of the Gods. A great hall or dwelling place of Odin and other gods. Odin here feasts on his daily wine and boars meat. This is the hall of immortality, with chosen slain warriors. Valhalla has 540 doors big enough to allow 800 warriors in at once. A boars head and eagles head are above the principle gate. The walls are made of spears, and the roof is of shields.
Valkyrie- Goddesses of faith. Odin sent the beautiful Valkyries to battles to decide whom would survive. and whom would die. There are 2 classes of Valkyries. Celestial and the Half-mortal half-divine. The half mortal/half divine often live amongst the mortals for a certain time. Later they return as goddess of faith and assist Odin. They ride on horses in groups of 3's but the number of Valkyries varies widely. Freyja is called by some Queen of the Valkyries.
Vanagods- Sea and wind gods. Also known as Vanas.
Vanaheim- Home of the gods. Home of the Vanir whom were later integrated with the Aesir.
Vanir- Race of fertility gods. They lived in Vanaheim, watched over the fruits of the earth and the earth and all living things on earth. The Aesir and Vanir were at odds, but able to settle all differences.
Vedfolnir- The falcon of the Yggdrasil tree.
Vid- One of the 12 Rivers springing from the well Nifl-Heim.
Vigrid- A plain in Asgard where the final battle known as Ragnarok will take place.
Vili- First members in the race of the Aesir. Brother of Odin and VE with the help of his brothers he created the first man and woman. Ask and emlola. They were from 2 trees. They were given senses expressions and speech. Odin gave them breath, Ve game them Color and body temp, and Vili gave them understanding. From ask and Embella the mortals were born.
Vingolf- Sanctuary of Frigga.
Volsunga saga- Originated in the 13th century Iceland. They are the stories of gods and goddess and hero's of the volsung. The main character is Sigurd. The others are Bryhilda, Hiordis, Gudrun and Gunnar.

Yggdrasil- Ash tree also known as the tree of life. Its branches spread across the universe and it connects the shelters of the world. It has 3 roots, one is the Aesir where the gods have their meeting place. The other is in the land of the Giants near Mimirs well, The well of wisdom. The 3rd root is deep in Nifl-Heim, the underworld its here the dreaded serpent Nidhod constantly gnaws at Yggdrasils roots. This tree was created by Odin and the all father, after Odin and other gods created Midgard. An eagle stays perches on Lerad which is the very top, or highest peak of the tree. There he watches all. Between his eyes Vedfolnir the Falcon sites perched also watching all. There is also a squirrel or a rabbit to occupy the tree. Its named Ratatosk. It runs up and down the tree trying to create strife between the serpent and the raven. The 3 goddess named the Nornes control the care of the tree, they sprinkle the water from Urd's fountain upon the tree for magical purposes.
