Son of Odin after Odin he is the strongest of all gods. He is the personification of the primeval forest. He lives in Landvidi, often shortened to Vidi. It is said his shoe, or foot will be pushed against the wolf Fenrir's throat during Ragnarok. Vingnir- Foster father to Thor. Vingthor- The name Thor assumed from his foster father Vingnir. Volsung- Mate of Liod, they had 10 sons and a daughter. Volund- Deity of the smiths. Brothers are Egil, Slagfinn, and Volund. They lived with 3 Valkyries for 9 years, after those 9 years, the Valkyries left. When they left, the brothers were lost. 2 of the brothers set out to search for them. Volund stayed behind and copied a ring that Alvit (one of the Valkyries) gave him. He created 700 of those rings. King Nidud who captured Volund gave one to his daughter. In a clever ruse Volund escaped after killing all of Nidud's family. He went to Alfheim where he crafted suits of armor, weapons and jewelry. Vor- Goddess of faith. An attendant of Frigga. She is the goddess from which nothing can be hidden. She punishes those whom don't keep their words, vows and promises. |

| Ymir- First of the supreme gods. Said to be a frost Giant, he was created in Ginnunga-gap, a great place of emptiness At the beginning of the universe. Created from the mist of the ice from Nifl-Heim when it was encountered and melted by the heat of Muspells-Heim the land of fire. He was called Hrim-Thurs or Ice giant. Ymir was nourished by the divine cow, Audhumla whom was formed from the drops of ice before he came into existence. Myth states while he rested, a man and a woman came from the sweat of his armpits. and a son from union of his legs, after the birth of his son and daughter he created a 6 headed giant named Bergelmir, who was the creator of the evil frost giants. Ymir was killed by Odin and his flesh was turned into the garden in Midgard, which has a hedge surrounding it made from Ymir's eyebrows. His blood and sweat created the water surrounding Midgard. His bones are the hills and his teeth are the cliffs, his hair is the trees and vegetation. His head or skull is the heavens and his brains are the clouds. |
