Gna- Attendant of Frigga, and messanger of the Heavens, she is mounted on the steed Hofuarpher, whom ran thru air and water.
Grid- Giant wife of Odin their son was Vidar. One of the ones said to contain Fenrir.
Grimmir- Name odin used when visiting the hall of Geirod. There he is shown with his face partially covered in a hood.
Grith- Giant whom tried to kill Thor
Groa- Known for her healing and medical skills, spell work and incantations. When Sif was not able to remove the stone fragments from Thors forehead, Groa was sent for.
Gundrun- Daughter of Krimhild, also known as Grimhild.
Gullveig- Evil goddess, said to be a form of Freyja. One to be burnt 3 times by the Aesir, she is also called mother of the Varns, 3 times she was speared, and set ablaze, yet lived. It was said she only obtained an injury to half of her heart. When half of the heart was found and swallowed by Loki, she was said to become all the more Evil, and some of the evil within her heart traveled thru Loki.
Gunnlod- Goddess and guardian of Mead and poetry. She was in charge of one of the 3 jars of inspiration called, Bodn, udrorir, and son. Which Odin stole all 3 from her
Heimdall- One of the Aesir, son of the 9 mothers or brother of the 9 sisters. he is watchman of the gods and guardian of the bridge. He owns the Gjall, the horn heard all over the world. The only god to live along time among mortals, he has gold teeth and can hear the grass growing, even the wool growing on sheep, he had a very keen since of hearing. When Balder died, he rode the mare with the golden mane named Gulltoppr. His home is called Himinbjorg.
Hel- Underworld guardian also called Hella, also offspring of Loki. Hel was the goddess that held Balder under the conditions that every person alive must morn and weep over his passing. In the event all did morn, she would send Balder back. Loki disguised himself as a female and was the only person alive NOT to weep for the falling of Balder, so the agreement was broken and Balder is bound to Hel until Ragnarok, when he may then return for the end of the world.
Henrir- God of silence, Brother to Odin and Lodur. Henir was taken hostage in Vanir in exchange for Njord. He never spoke unless prompted my Mimir or (memory).
Hermod- Son of Odin and wind and war god. He is the Messenger between the deity's. When his brother Balder died, it was Hermod whom volunteered to ride Odins horse into the realm of Hel to search and try to bring him back. He did not succeed in bringing back Balder from Hel, but he did bring back the ring Drawpnir to give to Odin. Hermod and Bragi were the ones to welcome the spirits of passed warriors into Valhalla.
Hertha- Mother of the gods. She is the goddess of agriculture. She is worshiped at Shrove-tide when the ploughs are carried in the procession.
Hiuke- Moon god. Waxing moon and Bil. Always accompanies the Mani, the moon on his rounds.
Hjordis- Young princess, daughter to the king of the islands, second wife to sigmond, when she agreed to marry sigmond, Lygni tried to protest it. Odin stepped in, shattered the sword Lygni pulled from a tree trunk. Sigmond was left defenseless to his enemy's. Hjordis hid from Lygni, and tried to save Sigmond.
Hler- Underworld god, also called, or may have been Ymir.
Hlin- Goddess of consolation. The tears of mourners are kissed away by her. She is the second attendant to Frigga.
Hludyn- Giant woman some say might have been mother of Thor.
Hodur- God of Darkness, and one of the gods of winter. Hodur was said to be accidentally the one to Kill Balder with the branch of mistletoe. Yet another instigation of Loki the Trickster. In return, Hodur was killed by Vali. Hodur is one of the 13 major deities in the mythology of the Eddas. Hodur was blind and due to so many conflicting tales and Myths, I'm leaving the reason unknown. But he is yet another god that shall return for Ragnarok, or the destruction of the earth.
Hraesvelgr- Another god of winter. he directs the Icy winds Vasud to cause discomfort for mortals. Possibly the same as Jonakr.
Hrungnir- One of the giants splayed by Thor. His head and heart made of stone and he is armed with a stone shield and a whetstone. Part of his whetstone is said to have been berried in Thors head.
