G'day there,
The Internet has liberated information from the constraints of censorship, location and corporate finance. Unfortunately, it is, and will remain, a tool exclusively accessible to a rich, predominantly 1st world audience.
This restricted audience is, however, dominated by a sensationalist media that, especially in Anglophone countries, continues to erode public awareness and political debate. If the advent of a computer driven world serves, as an afterthought, to spark a generation of inquiring minds, it will have been worth it.
