American Bull Dog

Extra large frame second model American Bull Dog .44 Webley caliber (1887-1899). About 90% condition, Early in my collecting career I was able to obtain three of the First Model extra large frame 44s (one in each of the three barrel lengths 2, 4 & 6 inches) but for some reason or another the Second Model extra large frame 44 has evaded me until now. I was able to purchase this one from a fellow member of the Houston Gun Collectors Association because he decided he was never going to find the correct pins that retain the trigger guard. I have a lot of extra correct pins.

Model 55S

The top revolver is a very nice Model 55S (1955-1960) 22 rimfire caliber serial number is in the C14,000 range so it is either a late first year or early second year production. Condition is about 98%. I have several nice model 55s but this is one of the best Model 55S I have seen. Below it is a not so nice Model 55SA (1961-1978). I have included it to show the difference in the Model 55S and the Model 55SA (loading gate 55SA and wood grips of the 55S). 90% or better of the 50 Series solid frame revolvers are getting very hard to find.

Uberti 1860 Army

Uberti manufactured 1860 Army 44 caliber percussion revolver (imported for one year, 1977). Standard Uberti model except marked Iver Johnson Arms on the left side of the barrel, shows little use.

Uberti 1858 Remington

Uberti manufactured 1858 Remington 44 caliber percussion revolver (imported for one year, 1977). Standard Uberti model except marked Iver Johnson Arms on the left side of the barrel, shows little use.

There is one more of the Uberti percussion revolver, known to have been imported, it is a .36 caliber 1851 Navy. Very few of these percussion revolvers marked Iver Johnson have turned up on the used market. I have personally seen only a couple of the 1860 Army and one each of the 1858 Remington & 1851 Navy. These are most likely not of interest to the average Iver Johnson collector but the advanced collector should be prepared to pay $250 to $275 (in 2009 dollars) for these percussion revolver and new in the box unfired will bring a lot more.
