Meeting Summaries
02.07.2008 Thank you! We started the meeting off with Hello Notecard where we all got numbers and where you add to either add four or minus four to your number to get to know other people in the club. We went over past events, upcoming events, and social events. We talked about ideas for fundraising and DCON. The agenda is posted, and that will be the summary. After that, Eddie, Nathan and I went to corner bakery for the "social." Any questions, please contact one of the officers.
01.31.2008 YES! The meeting right after Club Day!
Thank you for all those that came to those shifts. I was unable to because I had class, but it was nice to see you guys doing your thing and getting people! So at this meeting, it was also more like an introduction meeting (old faces, bear with us for a little bit) and our ice breaker was an interesting fact. We found out that we have a lot of culture in our club, which had prompted us to have a international cultural awareness night meeting. Click on the asian guy to the left to go to the link. We talked about what people wanted out of the club and their goals and a lot of people like beach cleanup and helping the homeless. With that, the board is going to try their best to get more things like that, in addition to a broad range from helping kids to animal shelters. We also introduced this website, so hopefully you guys are reading this! Btw, I loved seeing you guys!! Thank you again.

Thank you for all that came to the first official meeting of IVC Circle K! For all those that missed it, we had some new faces!! This is in addition to the old ones that I was happy to see, as well. To start off, we did the ice breaker of two truths, and one lie. Then we went over what Circle K was to the new potential members! That was the basis of this meeting with some talk about who wanted to go to Surf City Marathon. I, Lisa Nguyen (Picture to the right.), was also elected the president that day. Whoot! Meeting was adjourned for next week.
01.17.08 This was an unofficial meeting but I thank those who were there or at least made a presence: Our awesome advisor Nancy, VP Sam, Cilla, Hoang, and Lily. We discussed some items but it was mainly about our first club meeting next week! Another item that we discussed was the acting president because the former president, Elle Erpenbeck was transferred, and that is when they decided I would be temporary until next meeting. So go to the next meeting, cause as you can tell, it's going to be very important! And the second meeting as well, because we plan on recruiting more after Club day!!! So email here with any questions.

02.01.2008 - This day we had two events! The weekly trip to Soup Kitchen, that I know Eddie and Allen attended, was also the same day as Surf City Marathon!
We met at the bookstore, and unfortunately some people could not go, but Kan and I went to meet up with the UCI kids at the flags. Eddie and Allen joined us later! It was a really fun event where we all got assigned to registration. For each member present, we got $15. We also got free CPK pizza! It was a really fun event, actually. There were people coming from Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, etc just for this marathon. Hopefully next year we can help as well and for the rest of the weekend, perhaps. Goodjob guys! Pictures from Surf City Marathon will be posted soon!

Thank you Megan, Eddie, and Lily for helping at Club Day! I know a lot of people came by to support, and it was nice to see you guys out there working it! I don't know who was there, but if you were, tell me so I can add you here! Good turn out guys, thankyou.
01.25.2008 Thank you Cilla and Hoang for representing IVC at Soup Kitchen and the update. It's too bad that it's getting crowded =[ but we'll contact soup kitchen to see what a good day for them is. Good job!

Right before the meeting, I went to volunteer for the ALS Clinical Conference. It took place at the Mariott of Newport Beach and it was fun! Breakfast was provided for me and then I went to work. I was in charge of checking people in at the beginning of the sessions I was assigned to. At the end, I was in charge of collecting the evaluation sheets. I would definitely do this event next year, especially with an invite back to it next year. Hopefully more people can go!

I was glad to say that UCI raised $4,321 from the auctin! Thanks ALLEN DANG for buying me =) He bought me at $80. I was glad to see some IVC faces from there. Good to know that the benefits go to charities! Thank you for keeping the dresscode because the dress code is Red and Black!! It was fun! Hope to do something like it in the future, for ourselves.
