The
Surf Lifesaving Intervarsities took place this year on
a cold October Saturday at Silver strand Beach in Galway. The
event was organised by NUI,
Galway and with the support of Irish
Water Safety turned out to be a fun day of competition.

POOL
LIFESAVING 2004/2005
|
The
Pool Lifesaving Intervarsities for the first time accompanied
the Swimming Intervarsities on the 11th February 2005. The event
was hosted by Sligo Institute of Technology.

INTERVARSITY
SURF AND POOL LIFESAVING IS SUPPORTED BY IRISH WATER SAFETY
|
Irish Water Safety is the statutory body established to promote
water safety in Ireland.
They educate people in water safety best practices. They develop
public awareness campaigns to promote necessary attitudes,
rescue skills and behaviour to prevent drownings and water
related accidents.
