| As the school year came to a close, so did the official practices for the team. Many of the dancers had to move back to their respective homes, but many also stayed in the city. People have been practicing on their own in the new studio. Yes, our Fred Astaire studio had moved and is now more conveniently located (for me anyway). It is now on 25th between 6th and 7th. There was recently a grand opening at which, our team performed an American Rhumba routine as well as had fun dancing for a bit. We all miss dancing so much. But that is not to say we don't dance anymore, on the contrary, we dance, just most of the time it is during Argentine Tango classes, or out at anyplace where we can swing. What can I say? | Rutgers Competition: April 6th, they came by train, car, and bus to dance at the 2nd Annual Rutgers Dance Competition. Who knew that NYU would dominate the floor? |

| Harvard Competition: On March 3rd dancers from all over traveled from all over to arrive in Caimbridge, MA for another 2 days of dancing and competing. Some of the highlights were the fun dances, where couple #270 reigned champions as well as chief entertainers, and the championship level competitors that blew everyone away. |

| CMU: On March 10th a small part of the NYU Ballroom team drove to Carnegie Mellon University to take part in the Annual Scotch Ball that was being held there. Needless to say everone was tired, but they completely kicked butt this time. Results from CMU |

| Manhattan Amateur Classic (MAC): On March 17th there was a convergance of ballroom dancers to the Manhattan area and then the real fun began. | YCN Stardust Competition: On February 9th a bunch of tired college students and adults made their way to Pensawken, NJ. They arrived and went to a social, where they got to dance the night away. Early the next morning it was time to get dressed up for a full day of events. All levels were there from Newcomer to Championship. There were individual events, team events and even a cabaret routine that was amazing. |
