| CMU RESULTS |
| Comments: For those of you who didn't know, the competition was conducted in the following manner, there were three skill levels, Beginner, Syllabus and Open.In the first round each level the judges split the competitors into two groups, Group A being the more skilled one, Group B being the less skilled one, (Open was not split). Thus the approximate breakdown according to the system we are used to is: Beginner B - Newcomer, Beginner A- Newcomer/Bronze, Syllabs B- Bronze/Silver, Syllabus A - Silver/Gold. Groups and A and B then completed separately. Eleven colleges and dance studios participated in this competiton (including UConn, Case Western, Carnegie Mellon, Ohio State, UMich, etc.) Couples that represented the NYU team: Joanne and Duwayne, Chih and Alicia, Alex G. and Michelle |
