Chapter five::
Later that afternoon, Becky was standing at the counter stirring a bowl of cookie mix.
Zac came in. “Hey, are the cookies ready?”
“Yeah.” She pointed to a plate on the small breakfast table.
“Cool.” He grinned, reaching into the bowl of batter, and popping some into his mouth.
“Hey guys.” Jenna came into the kitchen, helping herself to a cookie. “Did you know Christy is coming with us? She just called me from her cell. She’s head over heels in love with Ike.” Jenna teased batting her eyelashes. “Apparently they have so much in common and they’re just perfect for each other.”
Becky laughed as Jenna exited the room.
“I guess they’re in love.” She shrugged.
“It’s weird. They’ve known each other… what? Less than twenty four hours and they think they’re in love.” Zac scoffed, sitting down at the kitchen table. He casually leaned back in the chair.
“Well, I guess two people sometimes just hit it off.” Becky placed a fresh sheet of cookies in the oven. “She seems genuine. Maybe she’ll settle down and get out of her old habits. I think it’s sweet.”
“How can you think it’s sweet?”
She slid into a seat across from him. ”Well, I don’t know Christy very well, and I don’t know your brother, but if they like each other that much, then I think they should go for it. They have nothing to loose and the opportunity of friendship… or something more… or…”
”Or?” Zac broke a cookie in half and popped it into his mouth.
”Or at least they’ll get laid.” Becky laughed. “I don’t think Christy is really that bad. A little rough around the edges.... It’s sweet.”
”You really think so?” Zac found himself falling for the girl right in front of him. She seemed so caring, and so charming. She was incredibly beautiful with her shy smile and sweet blonde hair…”I’m kind of worried about my brother. Sometimes he falls too hard for girls. A lot of the time he gets hurt…”
“It’s like one of those movies. They have so much in common, and maybe they’ll have a happy ending.” Becky smiled sweetly.
“That’s like no movie I’ve ever seen.” He laughed.
Becky giggled and pushed the plate of cookies towards him, “Shut up and eat your cookies.”

Jenna sat on the floor in Becky’s living room, leaning back against a chair.
Taylor was watching television from the sofa.
Jenna was chewing her nails deep in thought.
”Hey, are you okay?” Taylor asked suddenly.
”Huh?” Jenna asked obliviously.
”Hello!” He teased. “You look like you’re contemplating the meaning of life over there.”
”No, nothing. Sorry. I’m just thinking about Christy and Isaac. I mean, what the hell can they be doing? They were out all night…” Jenna got up and crossed to the window.
”Do you really want to know the answer to that?”
Jenna sighed. “No, probably not. But I just know what she’s like. I know she’s a total slut who will probably use him, sleep with him, and then when she gets bored of him, she’ll dump him and leave him miserable...”
Taylor raised his eyebrows. “Really? Do you discuss all your family like that?”
”I’m serious. She’s a total whore.”
”Well, I think they’re both old enough to make the decision for themselves, you know? I guess they’re both taking the risk.”
Jenna drew in a deep breath. “Right. It doesn’t bother you? She has the potential to be… Yoko.”
Taylor laughed out loud at that. “I don’t think Ike will let it get in the way of the music part of our lives. Clearly she can’t be that bad.”
”No… I guess not.” Jenna eased herself into a chair and curled her legs beneath her.
”And I guess Ike sees something he likes…”
Jenna sighed. “Yeah, her boobs.”

Isaac walked along side Christy as they walked through a park. The park surrounded a small lake and was practically deserted.
He was exhausted from not getting any sleep the night before, but when he looked at Christy, he suddenly got energy.
He smiled at Christy as the gentle breeze lifted her long dark hair from her shoulders. He had given her his long-sleeve button down shirt about an hour ago, and it was still draped over her shoulders. Even so, she looked incredible.
Christy smiled warmly at him, “What is it?”
”Nothing,” He said, embarrassed that she had caught him admiring her. “You’re beautiful.”
She blushed slightly. “Thank you.”
He gently cupped her chin and leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
Christy returned the kiss, slightly awestruck. He was unlike anyone she had ever met. She’d done the party lifestyle for so long, was it time to calm down and finally be an adult? Could he help her change?
Finally, the kiss broke and Christy smiled back at him. “You’re the sweetest person I’ve ever met.” She ran her hand down his arm.
He smiled. “Come on, do you think we should go and pack your stuff if you’re coming on tour with us?” He took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
”Okay.” She smiled. “But one more thing.”
”What’s that?” He asked.
She stood up on her toes and kissed him.
