Chapter one hundred and ninety three:

Isaac held onto Christy’s hand tightly as he led her blindly towards her surprise. They were on their way to the rehearsal dinner; it was the day before their wedding.  However, he insisted they leave early so they could make a stop first.
”Can I look now, baby?” She asked.
Her one hand was clutching his tightly, and the other was attempting to hold up her long skirt so it didn’t drag and get ruined.

He’d placed a blindfold he had borrowed from his sister’s dress up clothes around her eyes so she couldn’t see. He smiled at how cute she looked.
”Not yet. Just one second.” He positioned her in the center of a lush green lawn where they could adequately see the surprise.

“Ready?” He asked.

“I guess so.” She laughed. “I feel stupid, and you’re messing up my hair.”

He smiled. “Your hair looks perfect the way it is.”

Aww…” She laughed.

“Okay. Ready to see your surprise?”

“Yes!!” She smiled.

He gently removed her blindfold.
She blinked a few times and gazed at the surprise. “A house?” She asked in confusion.

“It’s our house.” He stated proudly.

“You didn’t!” She shrieked. “You bought us a house?!” She threw her arms around his neck and hugged him.

He grinned widely. “You haven’t even seen the inside yet.”

“It’ll be perfect.” She smiled. “I know because you picked it.”

He chuckled at that. “Now… there’s no furniture except one thing which I picked out because I knew you’d love… but I figured after the honeymoon, we could pick out furniture together…” He fished into his pocket and retrieved a house key and handed it to her.

She smiled even broader when she saw the key. “How cute! It’s on a Hanson key chain!”

He blushed. “It was the only thing I could find…”

“Come on!” She tugged on his arm. “Show me our house!”

Isaac followed her up the front lawn and stopped her before she reached the porch. “Stop, wait!” He said.

“What?”

“Don’t I get to carry you over the threshold? I was kind of looking forward to that...”
She giggled. “You don’t have to…”

“I want to!” He protested, lifting her off her feet.
