Chapter one hundred and forty-five:
Isaac got out of the shower and jerked on a clean t-shirt and a
pair of jeans.
He walked into the main part of the apartment, pushing his wet
hair back from his forehead, having not bothered to brush it out yet.
“Breakfast smells good.” He observed.
“Bacon and eggs, are you hungry?”
“I’m suddenly starving.” He grinned.
“Okay, have a seat.” She instructed, reaching a clean plate down
from the cupboard. “Baby, about yesterday, I just want to apologize for what I
did. It really was stupid. I put myself and my friends in danger. It was
incredibly immature of me and I won’t do it again.” She placed the full plate
in front of him. “I’ll try not to, anyway.”
He chuckled softly. “You really mean that?”
She nodded, and lifted two pieces of toast from the toaster and
placed them on his plate. “I do. I hate fighting with you, baby.”
He took her hand and squeezed it gently in his own. “I hate
fighting with you too.”
“What are your plans today?” She asked, sliding into the chair
across from him. “Do you need to practice some more today?”
“I should… Are you going to eat?” He asked,
his mouth full of food.
“I did. Nice healthy oatmeal.” She smiled. “Most importantly, it’s
diet conscious.”
“You don’t need to diet.” He said lifting a slice of toast to his
mouth.
“Maybe you think that, but you’ve been spoiling me too much
lately. We went for ice cream the other day, and last week you took me for
fries.”
“Alright, we’re not going to argue, right?”
“Right.” She finished. “I think today I’ll
pack my bags before we go on tour.”
“Yeah? Want to pack mine?”
“No thank you.”
“Fifty bucks if you pack my suitcase.”
“Not for any amount of money.” She teased, getting up from the
table and kissing his forehead.

Becky found Zac sitting in the living room, boredly flipping
channels on the television.
She curled up next to him on the sofa, cradling a mug of tea.
“Seven hundred channels and there is absolutely nothing on.” Zac
observed.
“No movies or anything?” She asked, tucking her cold feet beneath
his thigh.
“Nothing good,” He draped an arm around her shoulders. “A couple
of chick flicks.”
Becky smiled at him.
“Are you interested in watching any of them?” He asked, catching
her expression.
“No, I just want to spend time with you.” She took a small sip of
her tea. “I don’t care what we’re doing.”
“Well, let’s go out someplace. Is there anything you want to do
before we leave t-town?”
“Umm… no, I don’t think so. There was only one movie I wanted to
see, and we saw it… yesterday.” She trailed off.
“You don’t want to go to the mall or anything? We could go clothes
shopping…”
Becky laughed. “Yeah, right. I need more
clothes to jam into my suitcase.”
“Couldn’t hurt.” He shrugged. “I don’t mind.
We could go and spend the day, just the two of us…”
Becky smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. “We could just
hang out here to day, just the two of us.”
Zac smiled. “Why? Yesterday it was such a big deal to go out and
today you want to stay in?”
“Yeah. I guess.” She smiled. “I want to
be with you.”
“Aww…” he teased.
