Chapter one hundred and forty one:
He climbed out of the driver’s seat and jogged quickly towards the
house.
He pushed open the door and found his brothers sitting in the
living room solemnly.
”What’s up?” He asked in confusion.
Isaac drew in a deep breath. “Christy is pissed at me and felt
that the best way to get back at me was to take the girls out to the movies.”
“Okay, so lets go get them.” Zac said. “Simple enough.”
“She’ll kill me. All three of them will kill me. It will be
incredibly embarrassing if I go there and drag them out unwillingly, don’t you
think?”
“I’ll try Becky’s cell again.” He sighed, and got up to use the
phone.
“So explain to me again. You said no to Christy, and she freaked?”
“It’s not like that. She’s upset because she gets no independence.
She wanted to spend time with her friends because she wanted to cheer Jen up. I
said I didn’t think it was a good idea, and of course, she freaked out. I offered
to go with her, and of course, it defeats the purpose of a ‘girl’s night’. So I
suggested that you go-“
“Yeah, thanks man.”
“Anyway, that didn’t exactly go over to well, so she’s rebelling.”
“And putting her two best friends in jeopardy,”
“Her heart was in the right place. She was trying to help her two
best friends!” Isaac argued.
“By taking them to a public place and possibly putting
them in danger from an unknown attacker who could be almost anyone.”
“Look,
“Yeah, well she should handle things a little better.”
“Put yourself in her shoes. They’ve been stuck in the house for
ages, and they ask for one chance for some freedom and we can’t give them
that?”
“For their own safety!”
“Yeah, but they don’t always see it that way. I’ll admit it was a
very stupid thing to do, but-“
“Guys!” Zac interrupted.
Both Taylor and Isaac looked up.
“They’re on their way home. I just called Becky, and she said
they’re in a cab.”

Christy got out of the front seat of the cab and paid the driver.
Becky got out of the back seat and held the door open and Jen slid
out.
“That was a good movie.” Christy observed, draping an arm around
Jen’s shoulders. “Good to get out of the house.”
“Guys, I keep telling you I’m fine.” Jen rolled her eyes.
“Honestly, I’ll get over it.”
“Yeah, but even you have to admit we had a good time.” Becky
teased.
“Alright, alright.” Jen laughed. “But don’t
tell anyone.”
“Come on, chick flick and junk food? Who wouldn’t be happy with
that?” Christy asked.
“Uh-oh. Why do I get the feeling that the
boys are going to be pissed at us?” Becky asked, lowering her voice slightly.
“Because they will be.” Christy
sighed.
“That’s ok. Blame it all on me.” Jenna offered.
”No way, this was my fault. It was my idea, I’m the
one who brought you guys out. Isaac can’t be mad at me forever.” Christy
smiled. “I’ll take care of it.”
Becky opened the door and all three walked into the living room,
expecting the worst.
Isaac, Taylor, and Zac were sitting in separate chairs in the
living room, entirely silent.
Becky and Jenna exchanged glances.
Christy crossed her arms over her chest. “If you’re going to yell
at me, get it over with.” She challenged.
“You really have no right to yell at us,” Becky argued, feeling
anger boil up inside. “We may not have done the right thing, but we can take
care of ourselves to a certain extent. We were in a public place, with cell
phones.”
“But Becky-“ Zac began.
“No, don’t. Save the lecture. Yeah, maybe something could have
happened, but it didn’t. We’re obviously fine, so what’s the point in fighting
over something stupid, and what could have happened? And if you’re still pissed
at us, fuck you.” Becky stormed up the stairs, slamming her bedroom door
moments later. Zac pushed himself off the sofa and followed Becky in utter
shock.
Jenna left the room immediately and went into the kitchen.
