Chapter one
hundred and eight:
Isaac jogged up
the stairs and sauntered into the bedroom he was sharing with Christy.
Just reminding himself that he shared a room with her reminded him how he
absolutely loved living with her.
Even though they shared an apartment in
Living with her in LA for the past three months had showed him just how badly
he wanted to be with her, in a house where they could have children, and where
their children could play in a large back yard.
He smiled to
himself at that thought.
He had always wanted to get married and have children with the woman he loved.
And now he was entirely sure that that woman would be Christy. He absolutely
couldn’t wait to stand up in front of all of their collected friends and
family and tell them all how much he loved her, and how much he wanted to spend
the rest of his life with her.
Isaac was
interrupted from his thoughts by the sound of water splashing in the adjoined
bathroom.
He put down the
bottle of wine he had found in the kitchen, as well as the two glasses he had
brought upstairs with him and crossed the bedroom in several long strides.
“C?”
He asked.
She looked up at
him from a steaming bath tub filled with bubbles. “Yeah, honey?”
He dropped to
his knees next to the tub and folded his arms on the edge. “Feeling a
little better?”
She smiled. “I’m feeling much better.”
“This
weekend wasn’t so bad, was it?” He asked.
“No.
I’ll admit that it could have been a lot worse. I’m hoping they can
behave at the wedding. I’m going to ask them to try and stay
sober.”
“Okay,”
Isaac smiled.
“So, what
happened while we were away?” Christy asked, pulling a bath-puff out of
the mass of bubbles and playing with it between her hands. “Any
gossip?”
”None, really. I found out that
Christy laughed.
“But yelling at him will make him want to do it again.”
“I
know.” He gently reached out and stroked a few stray wisps of hair from
her face.
Christy smiled
at him. “What?”
“I love
you, you know that? Do I tell you that enough?” He grinned at her.
“Yeah, you
tell me… but you could always tell me again…” She grinned,
leaning towards him, pulling on his tie to bring him closer.
He chuckled and
leaned forward to kiss her.
“Room for
one more…” She tempted, loosening his tie.

Zac folded a
blanket over himself and Becky, tucking it around her body. They had taken to
the game room in order to spend the day alone together, since Isaac and Christy
had beaten them home and Taylor was still attempting to clean up the rest of
main floor.
They were sitting on the sofa together in complete darkness to add to a movie
theatre atmosphere. Becky had curled up closer to his body on the sofa. She had
chosen a movie that he found incredibly boring, but Becky seemed to be enjoying
it.
“Hey,
Becca. I’m sorry we couldn’t be alone like I said…” He
whispered.
She took his
hand under the blankets. “We’re alone right now aren’t
we?”
He smiled
slightly at that. “I know, but I meant completely alone… with the
house to ourselves, you know?”
“I know.
But it’s okay.” She rested her head on his shoulder.
He smiled at
her. “Listen, Becca… Can we talk?”
“You want
to talk?” She teased. “What have we been doing for the past few
minutes?”
“I mean,
seriously.”
Becky lifted her
head from his shoulder. “Oh, seriously? Okay.”
“Alright…
Listen I-“ He was interrupted by her leaning forward and kissing his lips
quickly.
“What?!
Hey!” He laughed. “I’m trying to be serious here!”
She giggled.
“Shut up.”
He raised his
eyebrows. “No, you shut up.” He slowly leaned forward.
“I’ll
shut up if you kiss me.” She bargained.
“Deal.”
He pressed his lips to hers, easing her gently back on the sofa.
Becky giggled.
“What?”
He asked breaking the kiss, and slowly running his hands down her sides.
“Nothing.”
She whispered. “Just kiss me.” She flashed him a quick smile.
Zac grinned and
kissed her again. He broke the kiss and left a trail of kisses down her throat,
gently pushing her cardigan off her shoulder, and kissing the freshly exposed
skin.
Becky sunk her
teeth into her lower lip. “Zac? What did you want to tell me?”
He stopped
kissing her, and pushed himself up onto his hands over top of her.
“It’s nothing, babe. It’s not important, and it can wait
until later.” He gently stroked her hair back.
“Yeah?
Okay.” She smiled. “You can kiss me now.”
“Really?
You’re okay with this?”
“Of
course.” She pushed herself up on her elbows and kissed him.
