We were both "Navy brats" living on the same Navy base when we first met, which was in April of 1984.  We were very good friends and "hung out" together for about five months before we started "going out".  So, the way I look at it, we've been together since April of 1984, I like to count that time together because I feel it is very important to get to know one another and be friends before dating and marrying.  I hope my children do the same!

Brice became a Marine on August 8, 1988.  While he was in boot camp, I was a paid live in help for my step mother's grandmother Pearl. I managed to save up almost $3,000 for us to use when we got married.   It was an anxious, but exciting three months.  Because although I missed Brice terribly, I knew that it wouldn't be too much longer before we could get married (and live happily ever after LOL).  The three month waiting period turned into about 4 1/2 months because after boot camp Brice had to go to his A-school to learn his MOS....what he would be doing in the Marine Corps.  Which, by the way is Logistics & Embarkation.
Here we are, 16 year old babies!  --->
December 19, 1988-The day of our wedding arrived (finally) to find me the happiest woman on earth!  I can only hope that Brice felt the same (minus the woman part, that is!)!  We were married at the chapel on base (Pt. Mugu), and it was a very nice, little ceremony.  I cried!!!  Could barely say my vows!

Weren't we so young and cute???
