| Declan's Biography | ||||||||
| Declan Galbraith is an extraordinary 11 year old. He's got a 1 million pound record deal with top music label EMI. EMI's other clients include one of Declan's favourite singers Robbie Williams!!Declan's signed to EMI for the next three years, in which he will release at least three albums. Declan's talent, that had every top record label after him, came from his granddad 'poppy ben'. Declan spent a lot of his childhood with his irish folk band member granddad and went to a lot of his gigs and concerts. Unfortunately 'poppy ben' died 6 years ago before he could see or hear the success of Declan; although i'm sure he's looking down on Declan and is really proud. Dec's amazing voice was discovered at his Nan's 60th birthday party. All the kids were going to sing their Nan 'tell me ma', but they all chickened out-except Dec-lucky he didn't chicken out as well!! At the young age of 8, Declan started singing at talent contests and in 14 months won 16 titles. Since then he has recorded on the compilation CD, 'Christmas Hits', westlife also recorded on the CD, but unfortunately fan Dec didn't get to meet them. Declan has also released his own album;selftitled and has also released 'tell me why' as a single. Declan loves to sing covers from Robbie Williams to irish folk songs. He hopes some day he can call songs his own (he has one-'tell me why') maybe one day he'll write his own songs!!! Declan's hobbies include cycling, playing football, playing computer games, swimming and of course the simpsons and westlife and Robbie Williams. Also he supports Arsenal and Celtic. Declan's main ambition is to sing professionally (which he's already doing), alternatively he'd like to be an actor. Declan originally came from Hoo in Kent and is 3/4 Irish and 1/4 Scottish. I think we'll going to see wonderful things from Declan Galbraith. | ||||||||
