FIRST PICTURE OF THE NEW DALLARA-CHRYSLER PROTOTYPE
PRIMA IMMAGINE DEL NUOVO PROTOTIPO DALLARA-CHRYSLER
This is the first picture available of the new sportscar designed by Dallara which will run in the 2001 Le Mans 24h under the flag of the official Chrysler-ORECA team. The development work is already started but until now there is the will to mantain all TOP-SECRET. The picture itself seems to confirm this aim. The 2000 engine (a pushrod six-litres V8 Mopar) seems going to be confirmed, despite the last summer rumors about a swicth toward a DOHC unit. The team will run three cars with all top-class pilots with sportsracing or single-seaters experience. The first big name involved is Yannick Dalmas, enroled for two years.

Il motore usato quest'anno (un 6000 V8 Mopar aste e bilancieri) dovrebbe essere confermato, nonostante le voci di quest'estate riguardanti il passaggio ad un'unit� con doppio albero a camme in testa. Il team far� correre tre macchine con tutti piloti d'alto livello, con esperienza nelle sport o nelle monoposto. Il primo grosso nome coinvolto � quello di Yannick Dalmas, che ha firmato un contratto per due anni.
