Database

Introduction

Databases are very widely used today by businesses and non-commercial organisations. A retail company will use a database to store information about staff, customers, orders and sales. A college will store information about students, tutors abd courses. It is important to understand not only what databases can do, but also how they are structured. You will then be in a position to decide whether a database is the most appropriate way in which to store any data that you are working with.
