Chapter Five: Jess' writing is in black and Hannah's writing is in white. Enjoy!

“Er…guys?” Chris B crouched over the motionless body of Chris J.
“Hmm?” Hannah seemed fairly uninterested and was preparing to pounce on Grant.
“He's…he's not moving.”
“Of course he's not. I gave him a good kickin'. He'll be out for a good few hours.” Hannah said, proudly.
“But…he's not breathing, either.” Chris added, looking concerned.
“Oh, crap on a crumpet.” Jess gulped.
“You are joking, nein?” Kurt asked, hurrying over. He put his hand to Chris J's wrist. “No pulse.”
“WHAT?!” Jess leapt up and dashed over. “Oh my God, Hannah…What have you DONE?!”
“Come on, guys…he's FINE…he's probably just faking it…” Hannah started. “Right?” There was an ominous silence. “RIGHT?”
“I think we'd better go back up to the hospital.” Grant said solemnly.
“Grab on.” Kurt said, holding out his arms for people to hold on to so he could teleport them back to the hospital wards. “Jess, I meant to an arm, leg or my tail, ja?”
“Sorry.” Jess blushed and repositioned herself.
BAMF!

“Oh! I'm so sorry love!” Hannah cooed over the apparently dead body of the Silverchair bass player. “I really am! I didn't mean it!”
“Oh give over.” Jess said, fed up with Hannah's unreturned apologies for the past 5 minutes.
Hannah looked rather upset. “I didn't mean it! Of course I'll remarry you!”
Chris J really wasn't replying.
BAMF!
“Ok, that's all of us, ja?” Kurt asked, as they stood on the A & E ward, Grant with them as well.
“I was just thinking,” Chris B started reflectively. “That if this is a parallel universe – does that explain why Kurt suddenly appeared?”
“I vas going to bring up that conversation, ja. Like vhere exactly are the rest of my team?”
“Let's not think about that right now!” Jess said quickly, worried about losing her furry blue mutant. “We've got Chris to save!”
“We have?” Inquired Chris B, confused.
Jess pointed to Chris J on the floor.
Oh.”

A doctor walked up to them.
“Hello, how may I- oh, Christ, not you people again.”
“Look, Mr Doctor, I'm terribly sorry, but I hit my husband over the head with a spade and I think he's dying!” Hannah blubbered.
“Oh. Right.” The doctor took a stethoscope from around his neck and listened to Chris J's chest. “Yep. He's dead.”
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Hannah fell to her knees and sobbed.
“That's it? You're not going to try and save him?” Jess asked, shocked.
“Oh – did you want us to give it a go?” The doctor asked.
“Oh, for the love of Gott,” Kurt, sick of the dithering doctor, leapt forward and started to give Chris the kiss of life.
“Well, there's something you don't see every day.” Jess reflected, watching Kurt use his tail to do a heart massage on Chris.
“Maybe we should-“
NO! Leave them.” Jess interrupted Hannah.
Suddenly Chris coughed and sat up.
“Darling!” Hannah exclaimed.
“I…I think I feel a coma coming on.” Chris said, before falling back onto the bed.
“Oh, nuts.” Hannah muttered.
“But he's alive now.” Chris B pointed out.
“Yes…” Hannah said, tentatively.
“This is all a bit much for me.” Jess said, feeling dizzy with all the madness. “I'm gonna go outside for some air.” She backed out the bay and headed down the corridor.
“Excuse me, madam?” A voice said behind her. She turned and gasped to see another Jess, who looked practically identical to her, standing there clutching a wad of leaflets.
“I…I…blimey.” Jess gaped.
“Hello, there. I was wondering if you'd be interested in joining one of the hospital's political groups?”
Jess smiled. Even though this was a parallel universe, maybe some of the important things had stayed the same…
“Sure!”
The other Jess handed her a leaflet.
“It's great that you're interested in joining the hospital communist group!” She said enthusiastically.
Jess screamed.

“HANNAH! HANNAH! HELP!” Jess came pelting into the ward. “THIS PLACE IS TOTALLY SCREWED UP!”
“Well, I know they didn't try that hard to save my Chris,” Hannah started. “But they have given him a nice room in this ward…” She indicated.
“Hannah, this is the fatal mortality ward.” Jess said.
“Yeah…I know…but it's still nice.”
“You're just hoping Ben and Daniel might come to visit him…”
“Maybe.” Hannah admitted.
“ANYWAY!” Jess remembered why she had found Hannah in the first place. “I BUMPED INTO ANOTHER VERSION OF MYSELF, AND I WAS RALLYING FOR COMMUNISM!!”
“Really?” Hannah didn't realise the implications of this. “And that's a problem?”
“I'M A FASCIST!!”
“And…?”
“Do you need a politics lesson?” Jess asked.
“Quite possibly.”
