Jess and Hannah were already on some dodgems, smashing
into each other and laughing somewhat evilly.
"What IS this place?" Chris asked, coming over and trying to wipe his shoe on
the grass.
"No idea, but this is WICKED!" Hannah smashed into Jess's dodgem car again, most
probably causing paralysis.
Chris looked around.
"Something's fishy here." He commented.
Jess hopped out of her dodgem.
"It's probably that." She pointed to a fish and chip stand.
"No, I'm SERIOUS." Chris insisted. "Something's not right."
Hannah was making a run for the Ferris wheel when she tripped over something on
the ground.
"OW!" She fell onto the grass. "What the...?"
Jess came bounding over carrying a bag of chips.
"What's up?"
"Tripped over."
"Tripped over what?"
"That." Hannah pointed at something in the grass.
"Ooh." Said Jess. "It's a plug."
"NO." Chris came over at a gallop. "NO!"
"We should try pulling it out." Hannah said.
"Yeah!" Said Jess, eating chips.
"NOOO!" Chris was still running over, past hotdog stands and
Hook-The-Duck games, trying to reach them.
Hannah took the long chain attached to the plug in both hands.
"Give me a hand." She said. Jess put down her chips and took the end of the
chain.
"NOOOOOO! STOP!" Chris yelled, still running full-pelt.
"Heave!" Hannah yelled. Jess and Hannah pulled the chain, hard. Nothing
happened.
"Oh dear." Jess said, sadly.
"Harder." Hannah said. "HEEEAVE!"
They pulled again, leaning right back, using their full collective weight
against the chain.
"STOP!"
Chris finally reached them but tripped over the plug and ploughed into them,
giving them an extra pull backwards.
The plug came out of the ground.
"Oh NO!" Chris cried. They heard an ominous slurping, water-down-a-plughole
noise.
"I'm being sucked in! Nooo!" Jess cried, being dragged towards the hole.
"NOOOOO!"
"Heeeeelp!"
They all disappeared down the hole and into the blackness.
Jess was screaming as hard as her voice
box and lungs could manage but she couldn't hear it. There was just a loud 'WHOOSHING'
noise. She was twirling around and around, a bit like going down a big water
slide just without the water.
All of a sudden she clattered and fell into a soft darkness. She opened her eyes
and recognised the pitch black, lino covered floor as where they had left their
spaceship.
There was a thud to her left and a thud to her right.
"Lucky." Jess mused.
"Where are we?" Hannah asked the question that everyone was thinking.
"Back near the spaceship." Jess answered. "I think."
They all got up and looked around. That was pretty pointless considering it was
pitch-black, but I guess it's reassuring to make sure.
"Have you still got that torch?" Hannah asked Chris.
Chris had no idea that Hannah was talking to him as he couldn't see anything.
"Chris?!"
"What?" Chris looked around but saw nothing.
"That torch you had - have you still got it?!" Hannah asked again.
"I don't know where it is - Jess was the last one to use it." Chris remembered.
"Jess?" Hannah said.
There was silence.
"Jess?"
More silence.
"JESS!?" Hannah screamed.
"No." Came a small voice.
"What did you do with it?" Hannah asked, crossly.
"Left it by the door." Jess said reluctantly.
"You be thankful it's dark Missy," Hannah threatened. "Otherwise you'd be
getting a SMACK!"
There was a whimper.
"Not that I condone smacking." Hannah added, thoughtfully.
"I have got this light." Chris drew out his spaceship keys, where on the
main key there was a very teeny-weeny small light to help you find the lock. He
turned it on. It was focusing on where Jess's nipple would have been if she
wasn't wearing anything. "Oh GOD!" Chris quickly moved the light. This time it
focused on where Hannah's nipple would be if she were wearing no clothes.
"ARGH! Look...YOU take it!" Chris practically threw it at Jess.
Jess pressed the button and the tiny light shone out.
"Well, that's about as useful as-"
Hannah cut herself off as she spotted the path of the light, which was shining
onto a keyhole just in front of them.
"Um...it's the spaceship." Jess said.
"Oh, thank GOD!" Chris threw himself forward and tried to hug the outside of the
craft.
Jess pushed a key into the lock and opened the door. Chris stepped forward and
fumbled for the light switch.
"Chris. That's NOT the light switch."
"OH! Good God, I'm so sorry."
"I wasn't COMPLAINING. I just thought you should know."
Finally there was a satisfying 'click' and the corridor flooded with light.
"Do you think it'll take off?" Hannah asked.
"We'll just have to give it a try." Chris said.
Jess and Hannah followed him into the cockpit and helped turn all the lights on.
Chris slid into the driver's seat and pressed a few buttons.
"Can't see any major damage. She should fly." He commented.
"What about that?!" Hannah pointed to a large red sign labelled 'CRITICAL
DAMAGE' that was flashing on the wall.
"Oh, never mind about THAT." Chris waved a hand dismissively. "Fasten your
seatbelts."
Jess and Hannah obeyed as the ship roared into life and rose unsteadily from the
ground.
"Here goes nothing..." Chris revved the engines and they shot up into the sky.
