Chapter One: Read on for more Jess and Hannah. Jess's writing is in white and Hannah's writing is in black...

“ARRRRGH!” Jess leapt several feet in the air and landed on top of Hannah, causing them both to fall, sprawling, to the ground.
“Sorry.” Said Kurt, who had teleported behind them, offering a hand to help them up.
“Hiya, my blue furry friend,” said Hannah, cheerily. “You're just in time.”
“In time for what?” Asked Kurt, confused, flicking his forked tail back behind his head (and safely out of Jess's reach).
“Well, Natalie won't let us stay with her, so we're planning to break into her house later on and sleep on the couch…”
“WHAT?! NO, we're NOT!” Jess exclaimed.
“Aw, come on and quit being such a killjoy, Jess. Do you WANT a bed tonight?”
“Well…yes…”
“Well shut up then and help me find a crowbar.” She turned to Kurt. “Wanna help?”

“Sure,” Kurt smiled. “There's a hardware store down the road.”
“Ah, can't be bothered.” Hannah said. “Pass me your tail.”
“What? Why?” Asked Kurt, a little nervous.
“No reason, just give it here.”
“Please.” Prompted Jess.
“Please…” Hannah said, unenthusiastically.
Kurt looked exceptionally unsure.
“Who do you think I am? Jess?”
Kurt thought for a while. This was certainly true. Jess was so mad about his tail but Hannah seemed considerably less so. “Alright. But be careful, ok? And no sudden movements, ja?”
“Ja, ja, ja.” Hannah muttered, grabbing his tail and running to the door. She fixed Kurt's pointed tail end between the door and the door frame.
“Now hold on.” Hannah commanded.
“Ja, ja.” Kurt had the idea and was rather bored.
“Ok! Ok! Ok!” Natalie opened the door and flung her arms around in her white vest and pyjama bottoms. “Come in…just not him.” She pointed at Kurt.
“My thoughts precisely.” Hannah smiled and walked in.
BAMF!

“What do you MEAN, 'not him'?! What's WRONG with him?!” Jess asked crossly, flailing through the patch of navy smoke that had sprung up between herself and the door, where Kurt had been.
“Shut up and get inside.” Hannah demanded.
Jess swore under her breath and ran in.

“Now you can do whatever you want as long as you don't use, touch or breathe on ANYTHING.” Natalie said sternly, leading them into the living room. There was a framed picture of Daniel on a small side table. Hannah 'accidentally' knocked it off with her bag.
“Oops.”
“I don't WANNA stay here.” Jess whinged.
“Well, unless you fancy sleeping in a foil container of chicken madras tonight, you haven't got a choice.” Hannah told her.

“So the kitchen's through there-“ She gestured through a door to a left. “-and the bathroom's over there.” She smiled as sweetly as she could to someone who had tried to kill her twice. “Don't bother me early in the morning, alright?”
“Oh, don't worry.” Hannah laughed. “We'll be out of here as soon as possible – we have important work to do. For instance, I have the most successful record shop in Orion to look after.”
Natalie looked at her wearily. “I'm going to bed.” She disappeared.
“Do you think we should find some shaving cream and get rid of her hair during the night?!” Hannah turned to Jess, excited.
“Shut up.” Jess exclaimed, laying down on a sofa and yawning. “Turn off the lights whilst you're up.”
Hannah turned them off at the wall and laid down on a second sofa, knackered as a bull in a field of female bulls looked after by a harsh farmer.

Hannah opened her eyes to see Natalie bustling around her with a duster and a can of polish.
“What the…ARRGH!” Hannah gagged as Natalie sprayed polish in her face.
“Cleanliness is next to godliness.” Natalie retorted, rubbing the duster in Hannah's face.
“You…you…”
“Now, now, Hannah, be NICE to Natalie. She is putting us up.” Jess said in a warning voice.
Hannah bit her tongue.
“Right, so, when are you getting the HELL out of my house?” Natalie asked, crossly, trying to hoover Jess's hair.
“Well…we could se if Jamie's eaten all those curries and cleared out our house.” Hannah suggested.
“Yes! Yes! DO that!” Natalie got them up and LITERALLY shooed them out the house.
The door slammed.
“Oh, ARSE.” Muttered Jess, looking down at herself and seeing she was still in her pyjamas.
“Ooh. Hello.” Said a voice behind her. She and Hannah turned to see Grant and Kurt coming down the corridor.
Hannah looked down at herself and saw she was still in her pyjamas.
“Oh, ARSE!”
She turned and hammered on the door but Natalie couldn't hear her (or chose not to hear her) over the sound of the hoover.
“Guten tag!” Kurt started.
“Don't-“ Jess put her hand over his mouth. “-even start!”
Kurt looked at her slightly hurt.
“Hi.” Hannah said quietly to Grant.
“I think goodmorning would be more appropriate.” Grant said, eyeing her up.
Hannah looked at the floor in despair. She was beginning to think that Book six was unlucky. “Come on Jess, we've got shops to run.”
Jess didn't answer. She was thinking it would be better for her to have her hands on a different part of Kurt's anatomy.
“Fine, I'm off.” Hannah walked off in her pyjamas trying to muster all the dignity possible. She walked down to her record shop and opened up the doors for the first time. Turning on the lights she saw rows of empty CD racks. “Better order some CDs.” She said to herself, walking to the internet caf down the road. She was going to make this the best record store ever.
