Parish Council Groups

Finance Committee

The mandate of the Finance Committee is:

- to prepare the budget for Council approval.
- to deliver reports to Council.
- oversee the financial obligations of the Parish.

Strategic Planning Committee

The mandate of the Strategic Planning Committee is: - To review evaluation and establish a five-year plan which is realistic and measurable through the following means:

- identify our purpose: Vision and Mission.
- set goals to accomplish our purpose.
- identify specific approaches / strategiess.
- implement action plans for each strategy..
- monitor and update.

Stewardship Committee

The mandate of the Stewardship Committee is:

- to make wise use of everything we have.
- be stewards of everything that God has giiven us - time, talents, treasure.

Vestry Groups

ACW

The purpose of the ACW is:

	- to unite women in fellowship of word, study and offering. - provide fellowship of women with common goals in support of the Church:
		- altar guild - social concern - fundraising, etc.

Vestry

The mandate of Vestry is:

- to assist and advise the incumbent and wardens in managing the affairs of that congregation.
- to consider any proposal that may be put forward for the development or improvement of the work of that Church.
- to appoint a nominating committee for thee annual meeting.
- to propose names for the annual meeting.<

With regard to finances:

- to set up a budget for the congregation for the coming year.
- to take steps to secure money to meet buddget.
- to give prior approval for major expenditures.
- to assist wardens in collection of offerings and contributions for the work of the Church.
- to scrutinize expenditures and accounts ppertaining to each congregation.
- to appoint auditors at the end of the year.

With regards to property:

- to consider all proposals to repair the church building, furniture, etc.

Vestry should meet at least twice a year at the call of the chair of vestry in consultation with the incumbent, or called by the incumbent. A meeting shall be called at written request of at least five members of vestry.

Worship Committee

The mandate of the Worship Committee is to plan and implement services of worship throughout the year.

Youth Groups

Our Youth Groups include the following:

- Our Music Team
- Our Sunday Schools

The Good Shepherd Sunday School in Norman's Cove enjoying an afternoon together.
