TACTICS
MENTALITY
Align the cursor with the player the attack awareness is to
be adjusted and then press the left and right directional buttons to change the selection.
RED ARROWS: The player assumes
an attacking position and participates actively in any attacking movements.
GREEN SQUARES: Well-balanced and
smooth movement.
BLUE ARROWS: The player assumes
a defensive position and does not participate much in attacking movements.
As far as tactics go its pretty much up to you. It
depends on your players. I tend to use a basic 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield, and if
things are not looking too good Ill go for a 4-3-3-A with T.A.Flo in the middle and
Shefchenko and Amikachi either side.
FATIGUE
If you push (L1) when in the team strategy mode you will see
that this flicks between the players position, their number of yellow cards and their
fatigue levels (shown by a light green bar). At the start of a match the bar will be full
and goes down as the match progresses.
However, I don't find that it makes a huge difference to the
way that the players perform. A tiered player tends not to make so many runs off the ball
as usual, but if you want to just ignore fatigue levels you can and it won't make a big
difference to the game.
Also from what I can figure out players do not get more
tiered if you dash with them more. The only time I have ever really noticed fatigue is
when playing extra time players do not get more tiered if you dash with them more.
CROSSING
The key to scoring is to know which cross to make for the
position that you are in, and which of you pplayers are likely to be in the box.
Normal cross - O
Best from the far side or if the player you are crossing to is playing on the opposite
side of attack.
Fast cross - O x2
These tend to be shorter and sometimes more accurate but are easyer to cut out.
Low cross - O x3
best used when you are on the break and you want to get it across to an attacker on the
opposite side.
Also use the triangle button to play it across the front of the goal and the pass button
(X) to cut it back to an attacker.
