Beer Sheva then Haifa
by Amir Ragporker

Nice weekend we had in the Israeli league, I bet you can't guess who is in the top of the table. After a 3rd win in a row Hapoel Beer Sheva clutched at the first position. Maccabi Haifa didn’t looked so good but won at home, Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv back on the winning side, BNYI Yehouda still win and Maccabi Petach Tikva grabs her first point.

Hapoel Beer Sheva celebrate another win

Glory days at Beer Sheva
Even I can't believe when I leaf through the newspaper today. Haifa may have a match missed but who knows what will happen in the game. The great and the enthusiastic story of Beer Sheva continued this weekend with a fantastic 3-0 home win against Ashdod. Lost year Ashdod where 4th so the big win is something wonderful. Remember that the most southest team in Israel also beat Maccabi Tel Aviv that was 3rd last year.
Hapoel Beer Sheva went on the scoring mark in the 10th minute after Barda passed with his head to Abu-Laben that found the net from 7 meters, 1-0 to the reds. The second goal came after 7 minutes, Sagron scored from 15 meters following a pass by Kako. Sagron and Kako played very well at this game and it seems like Kako the new sign at the team this summer is an implausible player to our league, in a good way of course. In the 31st minute Ashdod had a chance to start a comeback, when Pishont was tackled in the box and Ashdod got a penalty. Alon Hazan MS Ashdod's captain took the shot from the spot but his kick was too weak and Rahamim saved it, still 2-0. Hapoel Beer Sheva wrapped it up in the 59th minute, Barda passed it to Rami Eliyaho who ran and crossed a ball that took a deflection by Amar, Ashdod's defender and went into the net, 3-0 to Hapoel Beer Sheva. Ashdod looked for a goal that will give some hope for upcoming matches, but the only thing they could gain is a shot straight to the crossbar by David Revivo in the 90th minute.

Maccabi Petach Tikva earned her premiere point at the league this year
Maccabi Petach Tikva achieved her first point in the season after a tough match against Maccabi Natanya at home. Natanya started good in the 20th minute, the yellow team had their first mark on the game, when Tzarfati passed a long ball to Shos that made a shoos to Maccabi Petach Tikva and slammed a goal against Shtraos, Petach Tikva's keeper, that ran to him. After the goal we almost saw only one team on the field, Petach Tikva. 19 minutes to the end came the unbelievable, Mashiah started the move with a pass to Amar that skimmed to Malihi who kick a wonderful ball from the top of the box to the net, 1-1. 3 minutes to the gong the referee, Tabrizi, took out his red card to Kobi Refoua from Maccabi Petach Tikva after he knocked Shelac, Natanya's defender, down. 1-1 it ended, Natanya should cry back at home while Petach Tikva need more then one point to be really happy.

BNYI Yehouda keeps the winning days
BNYI Yehouda Tel-Aviv came to Hapoel Kfar Saba to take only one point but a great match by Andonov gave them 3 points and 4th position. Hapoel Kfar Saba really needs some intensification to stay in the league and it has to come sooner as possible. The was quite equal both teams had their chances, but when Alon Mizrahi Kfar Saba's star plays like he is a very old woman you can't accept much. In the 72nd minute came the only goal in the game. Gafni crossed a nice ball from the left wing and Andonov tried to strike a volley to the goal, but Shirazi was there he raise his leg and touched the ball into the net, 1-0 it also ended. BNYI Yehouda looks good after 2 wins in a row while Kfar Saba needs to be kicked in her ass.

Sunday Fixtures:

Hapoel Tel Aviv back to the wins
Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bietar Jerusalem always attract fire when they meet each other. This time it was the same but with one change as Hapoel Tel Aviv was better then Bietar Jerusalem in a lot of levels. Dror Kashtan's Hapoel played far more beautiful then Eli Cohen's team. Hapoel Tel Aviv scored her first goal in the second minute, the youngster Abotbol sent a wonderful ball to Balili and stood him in front of Korenfain Bietar's keeper, Balili didn’t confuse and stroke the ball over Korenfain and into the net, 1-0 Hapoel, groovy. Hapoel Tel Aviv didn’t play her best match and tried to defend the goal they scored. In the 73rd minute Kfir Odi substitute Balili and 4 minutes letter the big striker was already on the score mark. Halis crossed a ball exactly to Odi's head and the Israeli international striker put it in from 5 meters, 2-0. Hapoel Tel Aviv looks good but still has to improve while Bietar Jerusalem is a candidate to go to the second division.

Maccabi Tel Aviv get a win after 3 straight losses
It took 30 minutes to Maccabi Tel Aviv to be out of their worst fears. People said the season is over for the yellowest team in Israel but soon all the mouths were shut after Prohanenkovas's goal against Irony Rishon Lezion. Although the win Maccabi Tel Aviv doesn’t look so good, 2 lost back in the league and a 4-1 loss to Boavista in the UEFA cup made Maccabi Tel Aviv be in pressure at the start line of the season. This win puts some of the pressure off the team. Tal Banin captain of the Israeli national team started on the bench due to poor performances and also Aros and Goldberg were sidelined because of the same reason. Maccabi's goal was really something for the books, after Biton passed to Dego and he gave an ankle pass to Prohanenkovas that slammed home the winner of the match. The vacation comes good for Maccabi Tel Aviv that can build their confidences again while Irony Rishon Lezion need to keep the good work.
