Dear Scrabbler,

Anyone who has played in a tournament in Israel in the past 2 years* has a rating, determined by the player's performance. This rating is updated after every tournament. The rating is used to determine divisions in local tournaments, to select players for the annual Nationals tournament and to help select players to represent Israel in the biennial World Scrabble Championships.

* Players who have participated in tournaments more than 2 years ago have a rating. However, this rating is not valid for all intents and purposes and will be "reactivated" when the player next participates in a local tournament. Players in the Casual Division have no rating.
