Known bugs and workaroundsThe latest build date is 09/09/03; if your version (as shown in the "Help > About" box) is different, you may want to download the latest version. Fixed in current release: Changed default processing for MVS back to "stream" instead of "record mode". (Record mode did not help the problems reported with submitting jobs.) Re-added toolbar buttons inadvertently omitted from previous build. Added Help files for many panels. Previously fixed: Job Display (Option 8), added the ability to refresh the job list by pressing Enter in the command line. Added Confirmation dialog box before closing View/Browse screen if data has been changed. Allow for operations on datasets cataloged to the current SYSRES volume (no dataset attributes are returned via FTP). Fixed Option 3.4 so "Level" can be entered without quotes around it. Allow recall of migrated MVS datasets. Resolved synchronization problem in getting files via a separate thread. This had caused ISPF/ftp to be "one file behind" on occasion when getting files. Added Java "Garbage Collection" after closing screens to free unused resources View/Browse text area changed to be editable, but data is not saved. Outstanding and/or known issues: SDSF screen only shows jobs with a jobname of the logged-in user ID plus a
single character: PF Keys don't work on occasion. Scrolling by PF Key doesn't work on some panels: The Help key (PF1) gets a screen showing only "Help file not yet defined for panel
xxxx": Renaming a file gets a "permission denied" message from the server: When ISPF/ftp is started with "java.exe" instead of "javaw.exe",
option 3.1 gets an error on the first member selected, and subsequent members
are not displayed properly. Cleaned up MVS handling of PDS's. Added Edit menu option to save files using a Unix-style CR/LF characters. Error on MVS systems: "550 Retrieve of a whole Partitioned data set is not supported". On MVS systems, when trying to Edit or Browse a PDS, error "550 Data set USERID.NULL not found" had been returned. Scrolling has been fixed in most panels. Option 3.1 Library utility screen was not sorted and screen
"bounced" on long member lists. SDSF and other options dependent on a connection to an MVS host didn't work
on z/OS. ISPF/ftp didn't recognize z/OS as MVS. SDSF didn't get job list (got a file list instead). |
