What ISPF/ftp is,
and what it isn't ...
ISPF/ftp
is...
 | ISPF-like FTP client that can connect to the FTP server on an MVS
host and perform most ISPF functions such as Edit files, create, delete and
rename data sets and/or members of PDS's (Partitioned Data Sets), submit jobs, and
retrieve job output. |
 | ISPF-like FTP client that can connect to any FTP server to perform most
ISPF functions, such as browse, edit, create, delete and rename files. |
 | The ISPF/ftp Editor uses a standard GUI-based text editor with cut, copy and paste. |
 | Editing with unlimited "undo/redo" capability. |
 | It is an ISPF-like GUI that front-ends an FTP client. This allows the user
to perform the data manipulation capability that is available by combining
the two functions |
What it ISN'T...
 | It is not TSO; does not use any TSO resources. |
 | It is not a replacement for ISPF |
 | The ISPF/ftp Editor does not use the TSO ISPF editing "prefix" commands (though
some may
be included in a future release). |
