Introduction To Ahmadiyyat

It's the end of the thirteenth century (AH). The Muslims have been overpowered by the British. Their spirits are low, political and social status in shambles. The hopes are lost. Spiritual conditions are worse than ever. Godlessness, Theft, lying, adultery, materialism, deceiving and vice is in abundance. Darkness prevails everywhere. People are waiting for the Messiah to arrive, as promised in Ahadith. The religious scholars have declared that the rise of messiah will be in the early fourteenth century AH. In such conditions a man rises from a small town called Qadian and proclaims that he is commissioned by Allah as the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi. This man was Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani, founder of the Ahmadia movement in Islam.

Mirza Sahib was already known well in the religious circle because of his legendry book "Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya". On 23rd March 1889, he initiated a movement called the Ahmadiyya Movement. From forty members on the first day it has now grown into a huge organization of more than forty million. Only last year more than ten million people joined this movement.

With every member declared as 'Da'ee il Allah" or the one who calls towards Allah, this movement has done a lot to revive the teachings of the Holy Prophet of Islam SAW. The movement today has its mission houses or 'Tablighi Marakiz' in more than 160 countries. A lot of publication work including the translation of Quran and selected Ahadith in more than 50 languages have been done. A twenty-four hours satellite television channel is operating on global beam calling people to the right path.

Below the conditions for initiation are provided so that an overview of our beliefs could be had.
