For those who have not heard, Is Grace Enough vocalist Jon O'Callaghan will be temporarily leaving the band over the next coming months to attend to some personal matters back home in Toronto. The band wishes to express nothing but support for Jon's decision to return home, and both he and his family are in their thoughts and prayers during this time.
After great debate, Is Grace Enough have decided to continue on in Jon's absence, and are pleased to announce that after much searching, Alex Bulatovic from the Institute for the Correction of Current Human Evolution will be taking over on vocal duties for the band for an undetermined amount of time until Jon's returnal. Alex's first show will be at the Ottawa Underground Music Festival May 2nd at Club SAW (67 Nicholas St). The show's doors open at 6 30pm, is all ages, and has an admission fee of $7. Also included on the bill will be the homecoming appearance of the Transit following their recent hugely successful cross-Canada tour, indie band Pleased from Quebec, and fellow local act hartsfield. Be sure to come out early and help welcome Alex to the band.
IGE will then be playing again three days later on Wednesday May 5th at Zaphod's (27 York St) alongside Viscera's Recital and headliners hartsfield. Admission is $6 at the door, with the doors opening at 8pm. This show is not all ages, but rather 19+.
Is Grace Enough are extremely pleased to announce that they will be headlining the third annual 2004 Finner Fest in Almonte, on Friday May 7th. Taking place at the Almonte Legion (100 Bridge St), the show starts at 6 30pm and costs $5 at the door. A great night of music is expected to be had, with performances by I Spoke, Viscera's Recital, hartsfield, the Strawman Fallacy, and the Penske File also included on the bill.
Finally, the band wish to extend thanks to Shawn Parsons of two fist productions for including them on the recent "Canada Up in Flames" tour that hit Ontario. IGE would also like to send special thanks out to the members of both Forever is Forgotten and ion dissonance for their continual help throughout the tour.
Updates to the site include the band's four confirmed dates in early May in the shows section. Expect a blockbuster update to the photo section with a bundle of new pics from the band's appearances on the recent "Canada Up in Flames" tour.
