His consistant efforts have been recognised by the Bulldogs with four Best and Fairest awards.
However, it is only in the last two or three years, that Scott West has been recognised by the wider football community as a great player, achieving Victorian and All Australian selection.
Scott had an outstanding year in season 2000, finishing runner up in the Brownlow Medal and winning Triple M's Most Valuable Player award.
He has been elevated from Deputy Vice Captain to Vice Captain for season 2001.
