Liz fell in love with him after she connected with him and discovered that he loved her. But Liz and Max's relationship is shattered, thanks to Tess Harding. They are nervous and tense around each other. Liz is sensible, down-to-earth, and scientific, with a logical way of thinking. Her best friend is Maria DeLuca, and they are total opposites. They first met in second grade when they bonded over a hurt baby bird Maria found in a playground. Liz's kind, sensitive nature is what Maria, Max, and all her friends love about her.
