My Grandparents

Simeon Abner Irvin with 3 of his grandchildren.

Simeon Abner Irvin was born February 10, 1865 in Christian County, IL.

He came to Texas around 1877 at the age of 12 with his brother in law Henry Hays.

Simeon met and married Sarah Jane Stowe August 13, 1891 in Bexar County, TX.

Sarah Jane Stowe was born Sarah Jane Dumetz on May 22, 1869.

 She assumed the name of her step- father, Ed Stowe. Her biological parents were

Charles Dumetz from France and Sophie Bielstein from Germany.

Sarah died May 31, 1936. Simeon lived with his daughter,

Lydia Lenora in San Antonio until his death

November 17, 1944.

Simeon and Sarah had the following five children:

Lydia Lenora Irvin b. 1902

Clyde Clifford Irvin b. 1906
