This site is really showing its age now and I think it's time for a complete overhaul and then it can stay here as an archive. I bet the webmasters of the official sites you've scraped wouldn't be over impressed either... |

been Irek Mukhamedov's performances in "Anastasia" and "Mayerling" - hopefully
I'll put in a review in the not too distant future. Would anyone like to

Some news: Irek Mukhamedov is creating a new version of "Spartacus" for the Hong Kong ballet to premier in 2005. See the info on the Hong Kong Ballet's website for more details. |

| 19/11/03 | As you might have noticed... I've now moved
these pages from Tripod to Geocities. This is because the adverts on Tripod
were getting beyond a joke and squeezing out the site. Hopefully the smaller
ads on Geocities will be less of a nuisance.
As of right now I still have some of the Image Gallery files to upload as it's a slow process on Geocities. I'll get these finished soon. I also need to update various other bits of info and I'd also like to get round to revamping the whole thing as it's got pretty scrappy. Maybe if I don't have too much work on over Christmas....? Once upon a time this was nearly the official Irek Mukhamedov site. Maybe I should add the "what might have been" story to the site at some point? Now I just have to go and try and take the Tripod version of the site down. Back soon, hopefully with some new stuff. Also, new email link to a Yahoo address. As usual - this doesn't go to Irek Mukhamedov, it goes to me :-) |

Daily Telegraph website. The interview has links to previous Telegraph
interviews. See links page. Also added a link to
the biography of Irek Mukhamedov on the Ballet Masterclass website and
a link to a tribute to Natalia Bessmertnova. The out of date and otherwise
non-functional links should all be fixed now as well.
Irek has recently being coaching Scottish Ballet as well as choreographing for the London Children's ballet. RANT: Tripod has added even more advertising to its hosted pages - arrghh - the site is barely going to be visible at all soon! End of rant. |

A couple of small updates - added a link to Sylvie Guillem's official website on the links page and updated the Performances page. Dates include Irek Mukhamedov's return to the Royal Ballet for the International Celebration of Kenneth Macmillan and also some info posted on the messageboard, thanks to Caz Offergelt. I've added the very short biography of Irek Mukhamedov (that I
originally wrote for Jim's website) to the intro
page for completeness. This needs updating and I'll get on to it soon.

Apologies for the site downtime last week. Tripod was updating hardware but didn't send out any warnings for the loss of service in advance. I'm afraid there's still no news to report. Since Irek Mukhamedov's contract with the Royal Ballet ended last year there hasn't been much information, but it seems that he has "nothing much" in the pipeline at the moment. I'll try to add a bit of archive material to the site in the not-too-distant future so that there is some updating going on around here! :-) |

The new page is pretty much the same as the old with a different picture for a bit of variety. And I've scrapped the message board 'coz it was hardly ever used anyway. No other news at the moment, apart from a small review of Irek Mukhamedov's production of Swan Lake that I'll be adding to the reviews page shortly. |

And I've updated the list of forthcoming performances. And I've discovered that my message board is no more. It wasn't getting much use anyway so I haven't decided whether or not to replace it just yet. And I'm reversing the order of the Updates to have the most recent first - seems to make more sense. And here is an IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm always more than happy for people to download images and info from this site for their own use. After all that's why I've put all this time and effort into creating the site in the first place - there was no Irek Mukhamedov resource online when I started so I determined to fill the gap with the best I could do. However... I get very upset when I find whole chunks of my lovingly prepared site (and some of those images have taken a whole load of preparation I can tell you!) reproduced wholesale by someone else as their own. So please, if you want to use any of my stuff rather than make your own, ask me! Otherwise I'm going to have to watermark all the images and that'll just be annoying for everyone. Ok, end of rant. Meantime, please enjoy the site! :-) |
