| Kevin Smith is a singer/guitarist who can bang out a song with the best of them. Based in Nassau County,on Long Island, he entertains nightly throughout Long Island, Queens and Manhatten. His long-standing regular Tuesday and Thursday nights draw some mighty crowds. Other venues can be found on his calendar ,which is updated monthly. Kevin is a Hibernian and an active member of Irish Northern Aid (http://inac.org/). His songlist reflects his Irish Republican mentality. His musical influences include Tommy Makem,Tommy Byrne(of the Wolfetones),Tom Waitts, and Tom Smith (his brother)! In Kevin's own words, he likes to "sing silly songs too...and drinking songs and love songs...but the core of what you get,when I perform, is the history and the ongoing struggle of the Irish people!" |
