If you are someone who's chatted before, then you should know the
abbreviations that are used in IRC and chatrooms. But for those who
are not sure of what some of them mean, this is where you can learn
a few of them. Netiquette is also needed in the rooms, depending on
what room you are in...lol. This page can help you get to know a bit more
about this and make your chatting easier and fun.
First up...Netiquette. What is Netiquette?? It is like Etiquette, but on the Net. The conventional rules of social behaviour, an unwritten code of conduct. A little bit of this can go a long way in chatrooms.
When entering a room, try to think of it as an actual room, and greet as you enter. a big NO is to ask for Ops, as this will surely get you kicked. Sending private messages without asking the person first
can also be taken the wrong way. Be pollite and your chat will be fun.
Now on to the confusing stuff for some people..Abbeviations. You may see someone type something in that looks nothing like a word you have seen b4.
