Welcome to an exciting school year! My name is Mrs. Galambu, and I am anxious to get to know you and your child. Our days and weeks at Alice D. Contreras Elementary will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.

Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and prospects for learning and growing. In order for each child to have the opportunity to succeed, there are rules and procedures to guard our classroom�s behaviors and activities. The procedures will be introduced as needed. The Rules are:
1. Walk quietly and follow directions the first time.
2. Keep hands, feet, objects, and comments to yourself.
3. Have respect to others and school rules.
4. Ask permission.
1. First time breaking a rule, a verbal warning will be given to the student. (Tickets will be taken away).
2. Second time breaking a rule, the student will change his/her color to a yellow light. ( Time out or loss of privileges).
3. Third time breaking a rule, the student will change his/ her color to an orange light. (Contact parents by note or phone).
4. Fourth time breaking a rule, the student will change his/her color to a red light. (Parent Conference).
5. Fifth time breaking a rule, the student will change his/ her color to a black light. ( Referral to Administrator).
If you need to schedule a conference during my conference time, please send a note by your child or call the school office @ (817) 207-6750.
Students start each day with a green light. (Two tickets will be awarded to the student at the end of the day).
Tickets can be also awarded for good behavior, academic performance,...etc. At the end of each six weeks, students will be able to purchase items with their tickets.
