Mission: Throughout Illinois, IPVI increases opportunities for children who are visually impaired by providing supportive services to their parents.
Vision: To ensure specialized servies are implemented and delivered by professionals familiar with the needs of children with visual impairements so they may obtain the ame educational, cultural, social, and professional opportunities as their sighted peers.
Values: IPVI values the right of children to grow to full potential and participate in society.
IPVI values the right of parents to be actively involved in decisions affecting their child.
IPVI values the rights of parents to be fully informed about rules, policies, and laws affecting their child.
IPVI values the mutual support parents can provide each other in meeting emotional and psychological needs of themselves and their child.
IPVI also has a Mathew Benedict Juskie Scholarship Fund.
