The History of IPSF-APSS:The International Pharmaceutical
Student Federation- Asia-Pacific Scientific Symposium (IPSF-APSS) is an
extension of the South East Asian Pharmaceutical Students' Society Congress (SEAPSSC).
The congress then was relatively small-scale and only involved students from
various Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Philippines… The
SEAPSSC grew in strength as the different countries took turns to host the
event. During the last congress (4th SEAPSSC) held in Cebu,
Philippines, the SEAPSSC combined committee decided to extend the scope of the
Congress to the Asia region. When this issue was subsequently brought up on the
recent IPSF Congress held in the London (45th IPSF Congress), it was
suggested that we form a IPSF Asia Pacific Regional Office and organise a
IPSF-APSS instead. The rest is history… Here are some photos on the past congresses:
