Ø Project : Videocon Online Production Tracking System

Duration : June 2005 – Aug 2005

The main scope of the project is to provide an AIDC solution to the existing manufacturing and inventory management system in the organization, thus by improving the tracking and process performance of a product from production to sales.

This solution does provide online information in terms of the actual quantity of the production, as well as overall QC status of the manufactured product, current location of the material and also the status of sale of the product.

This entire AIDC solution is integrated with the existing SAP system to equip the management with the timely update of production vis-à-vis sales. This project is an AIDC solution for online production and FG tracking. This uses barcode technology for AIDC purpose. This is a multi location, multi user software which is having a hierarchy of database servers which synchronized using DTS mechanism.

Responsibilities:

My role included interaction with production and dispatch department peoples and Worked as a Project leader for designing and developing the front-end and database design of the utility using Visual Basic .NET and MS SQL Server. I was responsible for leading a small team of developers and was also responsible for testing / roll out of developed solution.

Ø Project : Enterprise Portal Helpdesk Manager

Duration : Aug 2005 – Sept 2005

This software manages helpdesk for Videocon Enterprise Portal. This software is designed for the use of Videocon Enterprise Portal Help desk to do the management of E-mails received and sent by EP Help desk management team. EP Help desk solves and manages the problems faced by the employees of Videocon in using Enterprise Portal. Enterprise Portal is used by the employees of videocon everywhere within the Virtual Private network of Videocon. This software is multi location, multi user which works around a single pop email id. Functioning of this software is much like as SAP Solution Manager. This software has all facilities like a standard email client.

This software includes a windows service which executes after fixed interval of time whose function is to check new mails on mail server (POP) and send replies/ tokens / mails (SMTP).

Responsibilities:

My role included interaction with peoples handling Videocons EP Helpdesk and Worked as a Project leader and developer for designing and developing the front-end and database design of the utility using Visual Basic .NET and MS SQL Server. I was responsible testing / roll out of developed solution.

Ø Project : VPOTS Installers

Duration : Oct 2005 – Nov 2006

VPOTs Installer is a setup utility program which is designed to install Client as well as Server Software of VPOTs. This utility installs the software on target machine as any commercial installer installs. This is designed for smooth Roll out of VPOTS at all videocon locations by a small roll out team. This installer installs all required runtimes and files to the target machine with shortcuts; it also installs MSDE and creates preconfigured database and master data executing SQL scripts automatically. This includes a registration utility which registers installation for synchronization of database to central database server.

Event Manager is designed for electronic registration and attendance management of corporate events such as Business Meet or Six Sigma Training. This software uses barcodes technology.

Sierra card management system is designed to provide an inventory management solution for TATA Indicom Sierra Cards thus by improving tracking, expenses and usage.

Ø Project : VPOTS Dispatch Module

It is a small application designed and developed in C# for a WinCE based hand held barcode scanning terminal. This application is used to scan goods to be dispatched against dispatch plan.

Ø Project : Autobank (Core Banking System)

Client : Aurangabad Jalna Gramin Bank (Total 56 branches)

Duration : April 2005 – June 2005

This is a complete core banking system developed for a bank which mainly works in rural areas. Front end and data access layer of this project is completely designed and developed in Visual Basic .NET to take advantage of .NET such as visual inheritance, disconnected data access architecture and rich UI design capabilities. Back end of this project is in Oracle 9i.

Ø Project : Smart Library

This is an ActiveX control library I have developed for my employer’s ambitious banking domain project Autobank and also for its future use in some other featured projects in .NET environment. Smart Library includes Smart Textbox, Smart Number, Smart Combo Box, Smart Date and Smart Popup Control which dramatically reduces large amount of code needed for various functional and UI related issues. It makes UI very effective and friendly.

This entire control library was designed and developed by me. I have studied and furnished what are the most common requirements such as highlight control on focus that can embedded into the control itself and incorporated it to the Smart Library.

This is a mini ERP package for Tea Industry which includes Production, Marketing, HR, Logistics and Procurement. Tea industry is having very different business process unlike other manufacturing industries. This software fulfills all its needs very efficiently.
