The organizing committee will provide special coaches to transport the competing delegates to the olympiad venues or to other planned activities. Indonesian cuisine is second to none and Bali is heaven to satisfy your taste buds. We shall provide for our guests the most typical local fare. However, since Indonesian cuisine is also influenced by Chinese, Indian and Western cooking, the meals would be familiar with international taste. All meals will be prepared according to Islamic law. For those who required certain kind of foods for religious, medical, or other reasons, please let us know well in advance. No health certificates for smallpox and cholera are required except for travelers arriving from infected areas. Bandung is also malaria free. Tap water is not safe for drinking. Travelers are advised to consume only bottled mineral water. The organizing committee will be assisted by a medical team for minor emergencies. The committee, however, is not responsible for medical expenses of the delegates, observers, or visitors. Although medical cost in Indonesia is relatively inexpensive, the delegation leaders should ascertain that all members of the team are fully insured before coming to Indonesia. Indonesian currency is rupiah (Rp.). The bills come in eight denominations of Rp. 100, Rp. 500, Rp. 1,000, Rp. 5,000, Rp. 10,000, Rp. 20,000, Rp. 50,000, and Rp. 100,000. There also coins of Rp. 100, Rp. 500, and Rp. 1,000. The current exchange rate is around Rp. 10,000 to one US dollar. Daily exchange rates are published in newspapers. Bali has a number of banks and authorized moneychangers. The US dollar is the most readily accepted currency. Credit cards are acceptable at major hotels, restaurants, shops and travel agencies. If you bringing your own electrical appliances, please ensure you have necessary transformers and adaptors. All visitors traveling to Indonesia must be in possession of a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and have proof of onward passage. Visas are not required for nationals of Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States of America, United Emirate Arab and Venezuela. Visa free entry is also allowed for registered delegates attending a conference, which has received official approval.
