November 4,
Looks like the benefit for Katrina fell through (?) but maybe not... I still have no details to give you :-/
In other news, page 10 of Life Newspapers November 2005 issue: "Peter F. Heckman, Jr. (PJ) will be presenting his senior voice recital at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. ... [PJ] was also the lead vocalist for the local rock band Ipacak for three years." woo! Ipacak in the papers and they spelled it RIGHT for once!!! So apparently there's a bus leaving carmel presbyterian church at 12:30 on the 19th of November for his recital, which starts at 2:15 in the Bristal Chapel, located at 101 Walnut Lane, Princeton, NJ. There's a reception afterwards aswell. He's going to perform "a set of classic Italian arias, a set of Mozart aria's and duets, Irish folk music, as well as a range of musical theatre from contemprorary compositions."
Lastly in the news, our bassist is going to Africa for 5 months, so Chris and I [Dayv] will probably do another special "accoustic" type thing. We are hoping to get in a last show with Sergei before he leaves to Africa in December!

Hey, Ipacak is looking at a few shows coming up:
November 18th, (Friday), we are probably playing a benefit show for hurricane Katrina. I believe it is taking place at Montco, and that a lot of bands are playing there. As soon as I know more, I'll put it up.
We also may be playing at ANOTHER benefit show, but the second one might not happen.
I'm also hoping to set up a show at the Little Dipper sometime real soon, where I'm hoping to have 50 copies of a 2 song (20+ minute) demo (with a FREE Ipacak magnet!! ooooo...)
So hopefully we'll be seeing you all soon!
August 14,
Whew!!! That was an amazing show. Thanks so much to everyone who came out on a days notice, and especially those people who we haven't seen in forever. It means a lot to us that you still come out to our shows when you can! And a special thanks to Uncle Cully and his friends for dancing all night! And also a thanks to Pike T-baum for playing the drums with us on a few songs, just because he was there (he didn't even know he was playing until 5 minutes before we started!!). But he did a phenominal job! Another thanks to all the new (and old!) fans who got t-shirts at the show, we sold easily a record number! Everyone who came out rocks, hopefully we'll see you all again soon!
We didn't have people sign up for the mailing list while at the show, but if you just saw us and want to be on the mailing list, [email protected] e-mail me (Dayv) with the subject "Ipacak Mailing List" Also, I sent out a mailing list notice on the 12th. If you DIDN'T get it, you AREN'T on the list.
August 12,
All the info is finally here! Go to our Live Shows page for the full details! We're going on at 8 PM! Anyone can come, despite it being at a club. See ya there!
August 11,
The details are slowly trickling in. If Sergei would ever call me, I'd give you the rest of the details ;) Anyway, all I know now, is that it's at a club in Bensalem. We'll be playing at around 6:45, until whenever we want to, it sounds like. And then another band is going on after us. As soon as I get all the details, I'm definitely sending out a notice, so anyone that talks to Sergei, give him a call and bug him about calling me! :)
August 9,
Hey! We have a show lined up for THIS SATURDAY, the 13th! Unfortunately, due to the fact that we JUST found out about it, we don't have all the details of where it is yet (thanks, Sergei...). It seems that it will be at a club in Philly somewhere, but I don't know any more than that yet. Our set'll be an hour - 2 hours, and we'll be playing with other bands, but again, I don't know who, or where. As soon as I get this information, I'm going to post it here, and hopefully send out a mailing list notice. Hope to see you soon!
July 10,
Thanks to everyone who came and rocked out with us yesterday. We had a BLAST!
July 8,
Hey, for those of you who are still wondering when we're going to set up a show, our bassist is in South Africa, and our violinist is in Prague (in the Czech Republic!). So...once they get back, we're hoping to have a show at the Little Dipper again, possibly with Vertigo opening.
We're all dying to play again for you!
For those of you who are going to the party tomorrow, Chris and I'll see you there!
June 29,
Ipacak is still alive! I know it seems like it's been forever (7 months!) since we've played live. We're playing a graduation party, teamed up with Vertigo on the 9th. It's gonna be a great time, so all of you who AREN'T invited to this party, should have your OWN party! Ipacak does graduation parties, birthday parties... any parties! Drop me an e-mail: [email protected]
Hopefully we'll see you soon!

Hey, we're still working on setting up a show somewhere...anywhere! Finding a place that'll let us play is getting tougher, but I'm sure we'll have something set up REALLLLLY soon!
In the meantime, here's an article about Ipacak! Popular local band to release new album; by Katie Ionata.
