At this show, we're hoping to give out our demo CD for FREE! The demo is being worked on right now, so if it's not done for this coming show, it'll definitely be done soon. We've already got 2 of the songs entirely done and on CD. We'll also be selling our t-shirts for 10 bucks at this coming show... Don't miss it! Check back soon for a date!! In other news, Ipacak is planning on making their first appearance at the Abington Battle Of the Bands in 3 years! The Battle is going to be (most likely) on March 22nd. The battle of the bands is always a good night (in fact, I've gone every year (even if not participating in it) since the thing started in 2000 when Ipacak won! :) We need you all to come out and cheer us on again!

Happy New Year! We've been practicing a lot and we'll be playing some shows coming up. (Hopefully some really big shows, too!) For the year 2005 we've got a few things in store for you... here are some!
We'll be playing a show in about a month with a special "Pink Floyd" opening act. ;)
We're working on recording our new album (still, I know... but this time we're just gonna do it ourselves! We PROMISE you'll have an album by the end of this year, hopefully by the middle of the year!
We've again changed the concept album around so it'll all work out better, and we'll definitely be performing it sometime soon, in it's entirety (Hopefully around the same time we release the album!)
We're also looking at playing at the Abington battle of the bands, teamed up with the remains of metal band "Vertigo." With Alex on guitar and John on the drums, (I'll play drums, too...you'll see!!!) it'll be a great show.
We've already teamed up with John Hoff who will be sitting in on drums on a few songs throughout the next show (at least).

Hey everyone, happy holidays! Ipacak is still working on recording, and now the album has been changed around a little bit. (Mainly to make sure it all fits on one CD!) We're not throwing anything out, it just might not be on this CD release. But what will be on this CD is nothing short of amazing! We can't wait to get it on a CD so you can hear it!
We're looking to perform this album sometime in January, so keep checking back for dates!!

Guess what?! Ipacak's gonna record EVERYTHING! The whole new album is going to be recorded finally! Once again, we're going to do it ourselves. We're looking at a double album worth of material, and we'll probably shrink it down to one album, or maybe have a bonus disc or something. But, we'll see how recording it goes first, then we'll jump off that bridge later.
So as we get underway (we're gonna test the drum sounds tomorrow hopefully) I'll keep you all updated.

Just a reminder to everyone that we'll be playing on the 31st. It's going to be a very special show, as it'll be the last show of our Systematic Entropy era. After this show, we're going BACK to the recording studio (This time to Forge Recording Studio's!) to record 3 more songs... We'll probably compile the 3 songs we've already recorded with the 3 songs we're doing at Forge, and put out a 6 song demo CD (with close to 50 minutes of music!). Then it's on to the new album!! We'll be working our tails off to get this album entirely ready for a spectacular live show.

Hey everyone!! Good news! Ipacak has scheduled a show for July 31st at Kate's house. It's open to everyone, and "A Fighting Chance" will be opening up for us, and we'll probably add one more band. ALRIGHT! It's time for a long update! Here's what's going on in the world of Ipacak: This week, WE RECORD! I'm not lying! This time, everything is set up, and we're FINALLY getting ourselves to record a 3 song demo (all songs off the new album). Shortly after that is done, we plan to record yet ANOTHER 3 song demo of our earlier work (since the band has changed so drastically, and we never really had a great recording of that stuff.) We'll probably compile the two demos, and make a CD; the first CD EVER with Dayv on vocals/keyboards, Chris on lead guitar, Sergei on bass, and Rachel on violin. Eventually, we'll be recording all 18 songs off the new album, (going to be a double album, with just 2 of the songs together weighing in at 35 minutes!)...but that's not going to be for a little while we expect.
Ipacak is playing on the 19th (this Saturday) at the YMCA in Trappe, and then that'll be the last show for a little while, unless we decide to play one more show on the 25th of June.

Whew! Thanks to EVERYONE who came out last night!! We packed out The Little Dipper, and sold OVER ONE HUNDRED tickets! This afternoon, Ipacak played at the 24-Hour Relay at Abington. Thanks to everyone who watched us! It was a blast dressing like Robert Plant and assorted other hippies. Tomorrow afternoon we play our third show (a private party) in as many days, and then take off a few days. And then...

Alright! It's official. Ipacak will be playing at the Keswick Coffee Shop on January 17th. Don't expect it to be the same place anymore, however... It's not going to be quite free, the new owner mentioned something about a 1 drink minimum. This shouldn't be a problem for most of you who already get things there. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (And to our international fans, happy Thursday the 27th?) Just a quick update, last night Ipacak rehersed the new album. It keeps getting better and better. :) I'm working on finding the best day for the show... Which is tough with all these holidays (and midterms/finals) coming up. Keep checking back because I'm just gonna pick a random day to do it soon, and you'll not want to miss out on this show!
Whew one more thing, I just re-posted some of the lyrics to the new album, I added another song to it. :) Concept albums seem to grow and grow. There's so much of a storyline, that there's always another song left to be written. I'm pretty sure it's all done now though. ;)

Problem Solving is opening up (I've seen them a few times, very excellent band..., Drinking Silence is playing next, Ipacak is playing third, at 8:30, and then Vertigo is closing (also a very good band!). Wow. If you missed last night's gig... you missed one of our best shows ever. It was tuned way down because of it being at a coffee house, but the intimacy with the crowd more than made up for that! I want to thank all the fans who came out, and for making it my personal favorite gig ever. :)
Also, Elcy's wants us to play there MANY more times... but for now, we only schedualed two more dates there. And next time, I'm sure we'll have even more fun. :D

Oi. It's just problem after problem here. Thank god for Girraween! I found out recently that all of the song links aren't quite working properly. Many complaints all at once. It would seem that audiogalaxy decided to get rid of the songs... or something along those lines. Anyway, right when I found that out, a fellow by the name of Girraween, who I just randomly met, offered to let me host all the songs on his very own server!!
So, until I get that set up, all the song links are DOWN. But do not fear, for they will all be back up and running smoother and quicker than you can imagine soon enough! Ipacak's working hard on the new album. Two news songs are now complete. "Anger Is Borne" has now been transformed from a two minute song to an epic at least the length of "The Wayfarer". The other song that's been completed is the real epic, however. It's got everything but the kitchen sink in it, and it's final length at the moment, is something around fifteen minutes. Can't wait to get into the recording studio!
