The life of one young man and the people he effected. Was he a genius? A great musician or artist? Was he outstanding in any way? Perhaps. But that's not what this film is about. This film intends to push no certain feeling except the feeling of knowing what it was like to be around a guy like Ryan. It has some actual events in it, but it is by no means a documentary. A great year it was for most of those students who attended WCA during the '97-'98 school year. Much went on that shouldn't be forgotten.
The film stars Lloyd Woods hijo as R. Kelly. Lloyd had previously played the role of Mr. Kelly in "La Boheme", although it was a supporting role in that film. It is being shot on the Morehead State University Campus. The Script is also by Warner Sparkman, based on actual events that occured between the fall of 1997 and 1998. The actual Ryan Kelly is an alumni of Washington College Acadamy in Northeastern Tennessee. The film will also feature Sean Vogt (director/writer/star of "Psicko") playing himself, Courtney Stephens as Merritt McHaffie, Nick Owens as Louie, Kurt Pajel as Kiat Srinavin, David Bruce Yonts as Tartrate-25, and Charles Coleman as Don Lupe.
