| The above photo was the original poster concept for the movie. While Laura Donze was given the role of Mimi at one point, filming came to a halt, bumping the role of Mimi out of the picture. | |||||||||||||||

| La Boheme is a film based upon the opera by Giacomo Puccini. Well, "film" sounds really pretentious, but who cares. The thing wasn't even shot on film, it was shot on video. What was originally intended as a straight out English language adaptation of Illica and Giacosa's Italian libretto, quickly evolved. The language and setting were updated to modern times, the romantic atmosphere was sacrificed for bohemian roudyness, and the actual shooting of the movie quickly became one big party. Ah, but like everything at Sparkman Independent (with the exception of LMNHTSYD) it was not to be. The cast broke apart to travel opposite ends of the globe. | |||||||||||||||
