Here is how we spent over $3,000 of the funds we raised:
Evergreen Hospice provides in-home assistance for those families living with someone with a terminal illness.
They recently found that there was a need for a program for very young children to talk about their emotions as they faced the death of a family member. Their program for children 4-12 years old is called Stormy Nights...Sunny Days. Each session (unfortunately) has been filled with young grieving children. Supplies included plasticene, stickers, and journals for the children to write about their feelings.

"Good Grooming Bags": We sewed seasonal gift bags and filled them with toiletries for the women who use the services
of Yellow Brick House. Into these bags were put personal grooming items - toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, soap,
calendars, pencil and paper, disposable razors, etc.
Left to right: Dorothy Moat, Cathy Cook, Linda Dennis, Jill Milne, Laura Pickle.
The children who are at Yellow Brick House also need some supplies. Twenty sturdy backpacks were delivered in the late fall - these "My Stuff" backpacks were filled with toiletries, new towels, deck of cards, new socks, colouring books and crayons
journals, and a stuffed toy.
