Didgeridoo Workshop at Hattoji Villa with Mikami-san

Would you like to learn the Didgeridoo? It is fun!
We will learn how to play the flute of the Australian aboriginies. The workshop will be held by one of the best Didgeridoo player of Japan: Kenji Mikami. We are going to hike up a hill to a medival Christian village through a nice bamboo forest. This is going to be a special IOC event!

Meet: Gather at the Hanky Ibaraki station at 10am.  From there we will take the 10:15 Hankyu bus for Ninchoji.
Cost: JPY3,500 (includes cost for materials such as bamboo and beeswax)
Note: The workshop will start at noon at a forest cafe called MadamaMura and will last about 4-5 hours.

IOC Meeting
The October meeting will be held far away from the Umeda hustle and bustle.  This meeting will be out at beautiful Momoi
camp.  Enjoy a Smore by the campfire instead of the usual classroom setting.

Iwawaiyama Day Hike

ELet's feel Autumn in Iwawakiyama (897m).  Located south of Osaka.  This mountain is famous for Kaya (Japanese pampas grass) which is most beautiful this time of year.  We will also be able to see a wonderful view of Osak Bay from a gap between Kayatonohara.

Meet:
Around 9am at Nankai Namba station.  We will tak the 9:24 train from there.
Directions:
Namba - Kimitoge Stn. - Iwawakiyama - Takihatadam bus stop - Nankai Kawachinagano Stn.
Bring:
lunch, drink and hiking footwear

About a 4-5 hour hike.

BSKII Kayaking in Western Biwa Lake

Explore the maze of waterways in the reed beds on the west side of Lake Biwa by kayak. The autumn colors, wild birds and natural beauty will make this a great trip, sheltered from wind and waves. Let's enjoy freely the nature of Lake Biwa!

Meet: JR Oumi-hachiman sta.
Costs: JPY8800 plus transportation
Bring: a change of clothes, waterproof/spare shoes, wind breaker, rain gear and lunch

Notes: Advance reservation necessary.  The trip will be from 10:00 - 14:30, a class will be offered to beginners.
