| August 9th | Saturday IOC Meeting * (Some heavy lifting) Who said meetings have to be dry. This months meeting will be held at the Shin Hankyu Hotel Beer Garden Time: 19:00 Place: Shinhankyu-hotel Beer garden (in Osaka near Umeda) Just behind the New Hankyu Hotel in the Hankyu terminal building 17F (Don't go into the New Hankyu Hotel). Admission fee: JPY3500 unlimited drinks and food/incl.tax Deadline to Confirm: August 6th (Wed) Moa Notes: Email Moa to reserve a spot and get your secret password. Ciao! ____________________________________________________ Sunday, August 17th | Sunday Cycling in North Nara and South Kyoto *1/2 If you are willing to get yourself up and over one small mountain behind Nara Park,then you are in for a thrilling long downhill of about 50km. Following small paths through ever changing scenery. A good practice or learning run over many different but easy surfaces. We will stop at the Nunomegawa for a swim if the river water is high enough. Leader: Jacquelyn Elliott <Join the Event!> Phone 078-802-3585 Call after August 10th. Bring: lunch or snacks. Soba is available at the first rest house. Helmet, extra tube,water bottle and swim things. Note: Great for beginner and intermediate bikers. ____________________________________________________ August 30-31 | Saturday - Sunday Camping along the Kizu River *1/2 Are you interested in an easy camp and BBQ along the banks of the Kizu River at Kasagi? Let's have a quick get away from the heat by relaxing along the Kizu river. Those who join will have the option of hiking, cycling or simply taking the train or their own auto to get there. We will pick up all we need for a BBQ dinner in Kasagi once we arrive. There is also an onsen in the town, just a few minutes walk from the campsite.
