This Is The Night

Walking along the beach at sunset
The soft breeze smells refreshingly sweet

Passion is surrounding us and we can sense the heat
The trees dancing to our melody, the waves slapping our tender feet

This is the night...The night we have that special sight
Out in the open flying so free, thank you for bringing me.

The sound of the swan's calling, the feel of us falling
Down, down, down to the soft, damp ground

This is the night and the time is oh, so right

Can You Imagine?

Can you imagine you and me sitting under the willow trees...
No words spoken, the silence never broken?

Can you imagine walking along the beach at sunset arm in arm...
Just the two of us talking of fond memories and our future together
A radio playing soft, romantic music in our ears?

Can you imagine sitting on a mountaintop looking at the stars...
Just you and me together for all eternity?

These are the places I would like to be, but only if you are right there holding me...
Can you imagine?

Your Eyes

When looking into your eyes, I see the sweet reflection of me
I see deep dark pools of sadness in those eyes of yours
Your trusting puppy-like look makes me melt
I know you can protect me from the unknown...
Knowing this, I can come closer
Your feelings are the same as mine
All this, I see just looking in your eyes.

A Poet's Dream

She sat on the beach writing,
the waves and the distant call of the gulls her inspiration.
Feeling content but still lonely
Happy but still longing
Longing for his touch...yearning for his kisses

She writes a poem
A poem about him...about how he makes her feel

She lifts her head to see him approaching...
a touch of a smile upon his face
Oh how she loves that smile
She thinks of how much brighter each day is when he smiles...
How that smile makes everything bad melt away...

She gets lost in that thought...
Remembers his sweet kisses...
Her body begins to grow warm from just the thought...
The thought of his lips meeting hers.

For A Dream

I close my eyes and see you there waiting
Arms open, ready to love me, to hold me close to your heart

I see you motioning me to you
Myself needing your touch

I see us embracing...
Falling into eachother

I see our hearts intertwining
A love that can sustain us...carry us through the unknown

I feel you kissing me tenderly
Taking me to places only we can be

I see our love overpowering any doubts we may have had
Carrying us to a world of love and happiness

I see myself giving my heart to you
Having yours in return

I see my future beginning with you
Yours with me

I see me loving you
You loving me

Us together..
Eternally.

My Promise

I promise to love and cherish you
To make all of your dreams come true

I promise to be there when you need me
To never hurt you intentionally

I promise to hold you forever in my heart
To be by your side until death do we part

I promise to search for you in heaven
To be there with you if I can

I promise to forever be true
Because I will never lose my love for you

To Win The Love Of The Untrusting

To win the love of the untrusting, the hurt, the scared, open your heart as a friend.
Be a friend through hard times. Dont push love onto the broken hearted, just lead them to happiness. Show them first, and above all, you are their friend. Let them know the love is there when they need it.

To give friendship before love is important in all relationships, but necessary for the broken hearted. So show me you're my friend...Show me I can trust you, can count on you to be there, first as my friend, and secondly as my love. Only after friendship is given will my heart surrender.

Walk with me along the beach, hold me in front of the fire, cuddle with me while watching TV, and gaze in awe with me at the wonder of the stars. Lead me to the happy places; lend me a shouder to cry on when we walk through the sad ones. Let love take the form of friendship so you dont scare me away.

Dont push me into saying "I love you," I am not ready for that. Be ok with me saying "I like you" and we will get along just fine. Smile with me when I am happy, frown with me when I am sad. Hug me in the good times, and more importantly, during the bad. Wipe the tears from my eyes and tell me I have nothing to fear. Only when I know that, will my love flow freely.

Share yourself with me, let me know what makes you live and love. Tell me what fascinates you, what scares you, and what makes you laugh. Show me who you are. Open up and let me know you, only then will I allow you to know me.

Time Separates Us, but Our Hearts Are Strong

Though distance separates us, I am with you, always.
I hold you close in my heart.
Though time keeps us apart,
The day will come when I can wrap my arms around you

The love we share has overcome every obsticle placed in our way.
Though not being beside you tears at every place in my heart
I know someday we will be together

I will love you for a very long time...
Though distance stands between us
I have never felt this way about anyone...
Have never just accepted the pain of waiting

I miss you every hour of every day
But I know this distance cant take you from me
My heart grows fonder with every passing moment,
Every breath I take.

Though I was weak before, I am strong now
The time we will have together..
Makes the pain of not being with you now worth it.

Just know, no matter how long it takes
No matter where you are
I am right here waiting for you.

My Heart is Your's Forever

I never thought I could love again like I love you
The way you hold me close and show me you love me too

You're so wonderful to me, you make my heart melt
This is the most wonderful feeling I have ever felt

You love me for who I am and show me every chance you can
That you are a most special and sweet man

I love you with all my heart, you mean the world to me too
Since we met, my love, I just cant imagine my life without you

In the time we spend together you make me so complete
I really don't think I could have asked for someone any more sweet

You really mean the world to me, as you show me I mean the same to you

Crystal Heart

My heart is fragile, all tattered and torn
Held together with tape and glue, so carelessly mended

It's a gentle heart, open to love, but with every breaking,
It becomes less and less able to hold my love.
As a fine crystal glass once full of wine, it's tumbled and broken
Time after time.

Stubborn I am, for I gather all the shards and rebuld this heart of mine...
Each time losing those pieces too small to see.

So understand that when I decide to give it away
It needs to be protected and held close
If it's dropped or even if it falls on it's own
There will be more pieces too tiny to see
That will be missing from my heart and from me

I know you are thinking, why give such a fragile gift?
Well I will always believe that in keeping my heart as my very own
One day I will wake up and find it has gone cold
I am a warm person with much love to give
My heart although fragile, will always be open
to someone Who is trustworthy enough to safeguard it from breaking again
