| The members of the Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club at South Texas College would like to support local industry and technology based business by sponsoring a lecture series. We are not experts in the areas of technology, business and law like the members of the community. We will sponsor a lecture series in which individuals from local business and industry can come together and learn something while making new contacts. The area of the topic can be as diverse as the community wants. The area of business covers a large area. Add to that the world of technology and almost any topic would be of potential interest. We are interested in 45 minute to 1 hour presentations in areas including but not limited to:
>Lawyers (business, intellectual property) >Local independent inventors (experiences, lessons learned, promote your latest product) >Product development experts from any industry (experiences, lessons learned or promote your business) >Technology Entrepreneurs (electronics, computers, chemistry, biology, etc) >Fabrication experts (injection molding, machining, fast prototyping methods, etc) >Business support specialist (accountants, lawyers, billing experts, computer/networking specialist) If you are interested in being on the email list, attending a lecture, or conducting a session please email Joe Studer at [email protected] |

| The Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club at South Texas College is initiating an outreach program for young students involving an off the shelf robotics kit. Lego Mindstorms is a popular toy that allows students to build and program the actions of various machines. This outreach program will allow students to get hands-on experience with the system while allowing students to focus on specific areas of robotics and academics. The Club is starting with a single robotics kit purchased with money raised by the students. If you are interested in more information please email Joe Studer at [email protected] |
